Poppin' some caps with the King's help

Wow that's a pretty penny. Did he just want a tack driver or a substitute for an AR?

I've heard good things about the S&W M&P 15-22 and you can get about 4 of them for $2k

Basically an AR substitute for plinking, but he also wanted a tack-driver. Unfortunately up here we can only load our AR's with 5 rounds at a time...legally. Which really lowers the point of having it. Rimfire rifle don't have a clip limit, so he went with that. He figured he'd rather have the best tactical 10/22, than a lower grade ar-clone .22

The first gun he ever bought was a STI 1911 Ranger in black and stainless. Not exactly an entry-level firearm lol.

Moose is a bastid. He's got me thinking .22 build. I durn near bought a 10/22 tonight just for the receiver.
I've been lurking on the Ruger forums, looking at Timney triggers, and so on. Bastid.

ETA: Bastid.

Mine is pretty much stock, replaced the bolt buffer with nylon, bedded the action and free floated the barrel. But I'm ready to go whole hog on it. 'Twould be fun.

OH, NO, bro Biscuit.....No 10/22's, how can you get a restful sleep with no 10/22's in the house ?.....Oh the shame!!!!!!.....Just picked up a couple of the Ruger 25 rd factory mags at the local gun show yesterday.......Hope they are as reliable as advertised...... Will find out when the mercury rises......Guyon I can give you the name of a good therapist who specializes in Ruger deprivation issues.....

ethan

Ethan, send that recommendation along. If therapy starts costing more than guns and parts, my wife will even be on board. ;) :D

You know him as Alces alces and he will charge whatever it takes to get your most lovely wife on board!!!!!!...

Hope this helps.......

Ethan

and here i thought his name was your local gun store :>

i too don't have 10/22s. somehow despite my first 22 (pistol) being a Ruger, it never caught. then of course, Ruger had this attitude that i'm not allowed high capacity? feh. sure, that's solved now, and for some years with various after market mags (some worked, some didn't). just didn't WORK for me, ya know?

now, if i could get some of the RARE 10/22 variants that does .22WMR, we'll see. maybe even .17 hornet :> but at this point, i've a .22LR for long distance shooting, and one for everything else, including RAPID FIRE FUN, but more importantly, it's ergos are exactly inline with my 556, so...

though i DO like the Ruger SR22 with Nordic kit. floats my boat more. very optics friendly.

That's the scope I have and it's a good one. Peeps will be the target of choice in Barlow for a while too. I like that.

Nice, I've got to shoot some Peeps and see what the deal is.

love the idea of shooting peeps. a lot.

i wonder if those giant marshmallows they sell blow out nicely?
