yep, it rendered it somewhat strange, the groove and pivot blend in as is (well they should at least)

You mean the zulu spear with more belly? As is it's recurved slightly from heel on and then turns into the belly towards the tip. The handle has enough space to fit a bit more belly in it towards the tip.

Yes, the Zulu spear with belly. I didn't notice the recurve, and though I think the zulu spear looks good as a pattern, I've often wondered what it would look like with a little more belly, like the Lionsteel Roundhead. Maybe it wouldn't look good, but I'm curious.

I'll try it out ;) not today probably, but tomorrow

I like the sheepsfoot/lambsfoot -- and I have a piece of 4" x 7" x 0.2" koa....

Totally forgot about it, sorry! Took some time out today and modeled it up :D also played around a bit so there now it now sports a grooved bolster as well as ... I have no idea what it's called but basically an inlay between bolster and scale :D

Lots of good stuff but I really like this one best so far.

Have one made then :D In case the koa was an offer: big thank you but I'll have to pass, I don't want to interfere with the makers material sourcing + shipping from the US to Europe probably makes it rather expensive (as in more expensive compared to sourcing it directly from a shop here)

If anyone is interested the drawings for the sheepfoot version are here: https://sites.google.com/view/sv-cad/home/open-source-projects under Pattern #2
