I think you should of emailed him and told him about this. At least let a person make good on a deal before posting a thread about him. He could of offered you a partial refund, or just took the knife back.

If it was my sale, I would have liked the opportunity to make it right before you start a thread or even before you post a rating. More often than not, people will be willing to work with you to make it right to avoid the non-positive rating and public discussion of a deal that hasn't really had a chance to finalize.
