My neighbor owns an outfitters/guide outfit, Pine Mountain Adventures. He takes people out on wilderness trips, kayaking, camping, rock climbing, etc., similar to what idroptapul does. I've helped him out a few times, locally. He takes kids (high-school age) on canoing trips on the Flint river during the summer, for Callaway Gardens here in Pine Mountain and I've helped with this. As to a career outdoors, does Canada have a Border Patrol? USBP spends a lot of time outdoors.

I worked for the county parks department one summer as a "casual" and loved almost every minute of it. There's something kind of serene about ridng a 3-deck industrial-strength mower in a driving rain. Those guys don't get rich but they get pretty good benefits and plenty of time in the sun. And rain. And snow. etc.
Hmmm... If you like to fish and hunt, guess what: You'll be working opening weekend of whatever season it happens to be! If you want to be a cop in the woods, well...

Yeah I do like to hunt and fish and have enjoyed those activities since i was a child. I have done plenty of research and found that you dont get completely screwed out of hunting and fishing. Through a Hunter Education course I assist with I have had many discussions with the FWO's in my area who all still enjoy both hunting and fishing. Besides that it is a great paying field that is constantly hiring. Maybe it just depends on where you live.
