Lots of interesting items at the Spyderco section at the SHOT Show, most of it not "ripe" for publishing pictures yet, at various degrees of probability. Don't try to order any of these. In no particular order:

A Starmate and a Native with deep-relief metal castings of a panther(?) and a peacock, respsectively, on the handles.

A Lum Tanto in G10 with a black blade.

Color-print coated Spydercards, for any enterprise that wants to special order some huge number of them.
cool.gif

A Bram Frank design, that looks like an Escalator with a blade hole.

Red round-nose trainers for the Delica, the Endura, and the Police.
cool.gif

A drop-point Moran fixed blade.

Crickets in many different colors for anybody who wants to special-order 500 of them.

A hawkbill with an Endura handle.
smile.gif

An S-curved double-pointed throwing thing.

A Mini-Dyad lightweight in burgundy
smile.gif

A sheepsfoot saw blade (saw, not serrated) in a G10 Civilian (?) handle
smile.gif

An upswept blade at about a 30 degree angle down from the handle. Odd.

Some upscale knives (fixed blade hunter and a big sheepsfoot folder) from Sakai with an interesting texturing on the blades and natural handle materials.

Drop Point Moran?!?!?!?

You just may have to sign me up for one. The want of a drop point was keeping me from even looking hard at it.

I'd personally like to hear more about the upswept blade with a dropped handle. Is this a folder? How large is it? Etc...

The drop point Moran appeals to my sense of the way things ought to be.

Blunt-nose Endura? Could be the ultimate folding peanut butter and jelly knife.

Stop when you get to bone.

Ah Yesss!

Slice the bagel with your "live" Delica (longer than the radius, shorter than the diameter, for an efficient but safe circular cut), and spread the cream cheese with your Endura Trainer!

Sal and co.,

2000 line-up sounds quite exciting.

The throwing 'S' sounds like an aggressive exploration for Spyderco, can't wait to see pics.

Despite Spyderco already having the Harpy/Merlin and Endura handled Matriarch, I personally would love to see an Endura sized hawkbill that has a broader blade and tip(for 'utility' of course

) If you decide to produce a few batches, I'd like to suggest the name 'Falco' as a model designation.

The upswept-bent angle model sounds like the Ayoob folder? specs on this one or pics would be great whenever you get the time and approval.

Thanks,
Ken

James, is the S-curved double-pointed throwing thing like shown in the patent USD0388150?
The starmates deep-relief metal castings... do you mean inlays or overlays? Are these instead of the medallion or in addition to it? Color(s)?

Hugo.
