The one knife you have that just stands out, be it rarity, beauty, the story behind it, let's see 'em.

I don't have a picture for mine yet, but it is my grandfathers Kabar. It was given to him when he joined the Corps and followed him to Guadalcanal and later into occupied China.

Not necessarily just one, more like a pair. These are my very first Striders. I had to see what all the hype was about, and after finding them for a fair price I could not let them get away. I must say that they are nice, and I am happy with the outcome. These are the CC in Ranger Green with flamed Ti frame locks.

Strider knives have always intrigued me, something about the shape of them...some day I will have to pick one up..

Nobody else wants to play?

Tough choice since I have been collection for around 30 years (actually more than that, but I mean seriously collecting ;)).

Even with quite a few knives this one seems to be one I come back to:

Here is the story:

Mark Williams May 2007

This is is pretty special to me also. I met Mark through the forums and went to a hammer in in North Georgia that he and Carl Rex were organizing. He helped me hammer out and grind my butt ugly first knife. (Gave that to Sava - an ABS Master Smith).

Any way, Mark had a few pieces for sale up there and I picked up a nice hawk from him in curly maple with a touch of wire inlay.

Shorty after the hammer in and spending a little time at Blade, my mom had some major surgery on her back. I asked Mark if he would make her a cane. The end result is very cool and creative. There are pictures of the cane in my photo albums of my profile here at BFC.

A little later I gave Mark a call and asked him if he was interested in making a "duded up" pipe hawk and this was the result. It really is a beautiful piece of work made by a brother of mine.

Blastid it would be safe for me to say that that is probably the most beautiful piece I have ever seen. Absolutely AMAZING work.

Woooooooooow!!!! That IS really cool! Kinda gives a guy new ideas, and something to shoot toward. Thanks for sharing that.

I've collected my share of Spyderco, Benchmade, working on Kershaw/ZT at the moment. I'm finding my interests moving more towards custom-style knives. I want to get a Custom Wilkins Leafstorm, CF William Henry, and another Umnumzaan at some point. I'm really liking the Brian Tighe designs as well as a Hinderer X-18

The Striders are nice, they are comfortable and tough as hell. I was amazed at how light weight they actually are. Get one when you can, they are worth it as a collector and user.

That is wicked looking Bastid. I hope you have a nice display case for it of somekind.

I am just starting the dive into upper tier knives....up until now I've been happy with the Gerbers I was issued and the Endura 4 I bought for my EDC..I recently purchased a HRLM, it will be my first serious fixed blade (used a Gerber LMFII while on AD)...

I thought that Zero Tolerance knives were made by or for Strider?

My gem is my "Mini Explorer", a Belgian custom made by Filip De Coene based on a drawing by Antoine Van Loocke. I love the the clean lines of this design. Suffice to say that its bigger brother is on display in a design museum, and not many knives can claim that !
Here is some eye candy. The carbon fiber (said to be the same kind as used in a F22 jet fighter plane) has a mysterious shine in real life that doesn't translate well to pictures, but you get the idea.

The timeless design makes reference to prehistoric flint knives:

I think Kershaw/ZT had the 300,301,302 designed by Strider. Those are awesome. I just got a 350 from a member here and it exceeded my expectations in every way. It's a definite hard use knife.
I'd like to get a 301 next. Also, ZT and Rick Hinderer are doing a collaboration. Look for the thread regarding the 0550. That looks like a winner too.

I'd have to say my B.Goode custom is my favorite. The desert ironwood handle is as beautiful as it is comfortable. I love this knife. Razor sharp and tough as nails too.

That is a very nice knife. Whats the blade length and steel on that bad boy?

hmm, well off the top of my head i think my ESEE RAT Pack knife would be the most limited in my collection. and it looks pretty cool :D

The way the micarta looks with the san mai, and the way this knife feels in my hand. A true gem.

It's not fair to pick out a favorite child. You're supposed to love them all the same.
I'll admit I have a few red headed step children I don't talk about much. But I must have 10 exceptional kids I'm equally proud of.
Here's a HI 20inch 32ounce monster khukuri I like for his exceptional power, strength and deadly point.
