WOW!
I just got back from the Post Office, I waited in line then put two things on the counter and said "I'd like to send these both priority with delivery confirmation."
He said "Didn't you see any delivery confirmation labels in the lobbby?"
I said, "I never looked, usually they just get put on at the window." Well things degenrated from there, but the upshort is this. All forms must be filled out and all labels stuck on by the customer before stepping up to the window. It's not the PO employee's job to stick on labels or fill anything out for the customer.
So I called the USPS 800 number and I'm trying to determine if that's official policy, or someone blowing smoke.
I suspect the latter.
