Holiday and post show shop cleaning.
These are knives left over from the Reno Gun Show, which I want to
clear out for the holidays. I'm putting a fairly reasonable price on
them, simply because I want to stock up on supplies (and xmas presents
for my wife and kids) and make more stuff
There's a bit of a variety here, so have a look see-
This is a general field utility knife, with a 5.25 inch blade of 3/32
15N20 steel. The blade is differential tempered and has an
800 grit hand rubbed finish.
The grind is a scandi style convex, with the whole bevel forming the
edge. Cuts like a dream, easy to care for. Stropping is generally all
you need to do to maintain the edge, if you really need to get
aggressive at some point, the mousepad technique with 600 or 800 grit
followed by stropping to a polish will work well.
Overall length is 9.75 inches. Handle scales are black dyed
dymondwood, with stainless pins. Koyote Girl made sheath is black, 1/2 handle length
pouch set up with a folded belt loop that can handle up to a 3 inch
belt width. Sheath is water formed to the blade.
SOLD
Small handle full tang leuku pattern.
This knife has a shorter and slimmer handle- 3 3/8 inches long and
9/16 thick. I made this one for a youth or smaller sized hand.
In hand pic is a 13 year old girl. Blade is L6, about 3/32 thick,
differentially tempered with a buffed out forge finish.
Grind is convex, done scandi style with the whole bevel being a zero
grind. Scales are osange orange, with brass pins and lanyard
tube. Koyote Girl expedition pattern sheath, waterformed with a deep
pouch covering 2/3 of the handle.
