Holiday and post show shop cleaning.

These are knives left over from the Reno Gun Show, which I want to
clear out for the holidays. I'm putting a fairly reasonable price on
them, simply because I want to stock up on supplies (and xmas presents
for my wife and kids) and make more stuff :D

There's a bit of a variety here, so have a look see-

This is a general field utility knife, with a 5.25 inch blade of 3/32
15N20 steel. The blade is differential tempered and has an
800 grit hand rubbed finish.

The grind is a scandi style convex, with the whole bevel forming the
edge. Cuts like a dream, easy to care for. Stropping is generally all
you need to do to maintain the edge, if you really need to get
aggressive at some point, the mousepad technique with 600 or 800 grit
followed by stropping to a polish will work well.

Overall length is 9.75 inches. Handle scales are black dyed
dymondwood, with stainless pins. Koyote Girl made sheath is black, 1/2 handle length
pouch set up with a folded belt loop that can handle up to a 3 inch
belt width. Sheath is water formed to the blade.

Small handle full tang leuku pattern.

This knife has a shorter and slimmer handle- 3 3/8 inches long and
9/16 thick. I made this one for a youth or smaller sized hand.
In hand pic is a 13 year old girl. Blade is L6, about 3/32 thick,
differentially tempered with a buffed out forge finish.

Grind is convex, done scandi style with the whole bevel being a zero
grind. Scales are osange orange, with brass pins and lanyard
tube. Koyote Girl expedition pattern sheath, waterformed with a deep
pouch covering 2/3 of the handle.

Modern seax-

Overall, this is 9.75 inches, with a downward sloping handle and long
dropping spine. It has a very durable and solid working edge convex
ground on 1/8 inch L6 steel. The finish is a buffed and steel wool
polished forge finish, with jatoba scales and stianless tubing
pins. Blade length is 5.5 inches.

Sheath is a pouch style with a "paddle" type belt loop and can be
reformed for either right or left hand carry.

Purpleheart palm skinner-

If you have huge hands, this may not fit you well, but if you have
average to smaller hands, or just like the smaller palm skinner
format, this is a great little knife. .095 thick, 15N20, has a steel
wool buffed forge finish and bluing to match on all worked parts of
the blade and tang- except the edge. Nice zero convex grind, easy to
sharpen in the field with a strop. I did straight filework along the
long thumbramp, and pinned the purpleheart scales with brass
pins. Overall this is 6 inches long and the cutting edge is 3.4 inches
following the belly.

Sheath is by koyote girl and is a simple pouch with belt loop. Water
formed and hand stitched with double needle stitching as are all her sheaths.

Slim dagger from file.

This is one of the very few file knives I've made. From an old
Japanese file, this one has a single full convex edge, ground to zero
from the spine to the edge. It has a moderate distal taper near the
tip, going back about an inch and a half. just a hair over 1/8 inch on
the spine, with a flax cord underwrap and a 550 cord overwrap. Wraps
are both epoxied in place. Blade finish is a leather buffed 600 grit
satin.
Overall, this is 10 inches, with a 6.5 inch
blade. The handle is short, but designed for a palm heel thrust, in
addition to maintaining a good cutting grip (see photos). Very
slim and low profile. Photographed sheath is the first one Koyote Girl
did, and while it's fine in quality, the water forming allows the
blade to seat itself *just* far enough that the point can poke out the
bottom about 1/16 of an inch- as such, the knife will come with a
newly made sheath for whatever carry style the user prefers. This
would be fine for a boot knife, saddle bag knife, or for belt
carry. Listed price includes a new sheath within reason :)

Drop point utility. Actually, this one is a modified spearpoint. 1/8
inch L6 steel, with a convex grind and a 600 grit finish. Some forgin
marks left in, and the finish isn't perfect on this one, or I'd just
put it up for $160 :) Long, thick, cocobolo handle with stainless
pins and lanyard tubing. This is a really excellent cutter and a great
field knife. Overall 8.25 inches with a 3 7/8 inch blade.

Hand stiched, waterformed, expedition style koyote girl sheath.

I love the working nature of these knives. These look like knives made for hard use. Very nice!

I'm all about users :D

What I sold most at the show was my leuku pattern buschcrafter, EDC utility, pocket nessmuk, and skinning knives- most with the buffed forge finish. Best thing about that show is that I get my strongest response from hunters and guides.

If it is available, I'll take the drop point utility. I've been waiting to get one of your knives and this one looks like a gem. Reminds me of a "patch knife."

The full tang leuku pattern is my main bushcrafting blade, and I've got 2 heat treated blades on hand that I'm working on. I'm working on a batch of the seax blades and spearpoints, too. Those are going to be heat treated by me tomorrow. send an email and I can give you a quote depending on materials for the handle and sheath and such.
