Post Up Your NEW Gear ...

2750 isn't the steel.

I bet someone on BRL's forum knows what the steel is.

My guess would be AUS6. Most of the SEKI stainless knives I've had from that far back are that.

These knives were imported by Cole National Corporation for Ka-Bar and made by Khyber in the 1976-1983 slot, so mebe Tooj on the Ka-Bar forums would know.

Here's another one -

Thanks for the info on the steel. Kinda thought 2750 wasn't a steel but it did bring up some random stainless stuff online. Yep that's the knife. Mines unused w Khyber stamped on the sheath. Aus6 is good enough :)

surefire tactician...i gotta say i was skeptical at first given the background on this light but having it on hand now i think it's the best full-grip surefire/pistol & separate light combo i've held so far (i've had a lot of surefire lights over the years so i'm surprised to be saying this)...i'm not going to add to the hype and will just say this...hold it and see for yourself :)

RopeTech Hitch hiker 2. It's a hybrid mechanical multicender for SRT (stationary rope technique)

It's hybrid because the main friction device is still a hitch but the device adds in another 50%of the friction via the steel body / dogbone setup (since it's impossible to run ONLY a hitch on SRT). This is a single device that holds my weight for work and ascent as well as being my lowering device without any changeover.

Thanks they are pretty close I think in frame size. @plemberroy

Thinks I've got an idea of the size but what's the size? Nice kit. Made from a file. Home made?
Just does fit in an Altoids tin. Yes, made from a file. I bought it from a vendor at BCUSA. I've since added a leather lanyard to it. This is the fourth striker I've purchased. My first was made from a file as well. I gifted it to my step daughter.
