I picked up this 3V 5inch Tusker from the bearded one himself at his shop. I have another 5inch Tusker that is 1/4 inch. This one is 3/8 inch. I cant wait to brake it in tomorrow.
Keep us posted on that Kung foon please! It looks long enough for instant bag food, but I'd suspect the spork part would fall in the bag at the least opportune moment. However, I hope it works out as I've been lookin' at one myself.
No I would not say rickety. I have used the chopsticks &spork just not together. I will post when I do.
If it falls off in a deep bag I will cut my own handle making it tighter. I usually make my chopsticks in the field. Tell now.
Neat tempting gear just keeps showing up here! I doubt I would buy it, but it is a really cool idea! I just ran across my CRKT "Eat-N-Tool" spork/wrench/bottle opener/screwdriver/prybar (whew!) that my daughter bought me last Christmas, the first time I'd seen it since! I promise I'll give it a try (even though I am spork-adverse) soon.
My new Warbonnet Blackbird XLC hammock and Superfly tarp:
I have been using an ENO Doublenest hammock and an OES MacCat Deluxe tarp, but picked up this new combo for more comfortable winter camping (the XLC hammock has a bugnet for summer that zips off and is replaced with solid cover for cold weather camping and the Superfly has "doors" that can close off each end or be extended as windbreaks or folded back underneath when they're not needed).
fiddleback forge 18" machete...only a few hours old and it's already earning its keep...tested it on a sycamore branch before using it on the neighbor's tree:
the neighbor's tree that they want to get rid of since it's growing in between the fence and their garage. i can't quite reach around the trunk to completely de-bark it so once in awhile i trim all the pinky finger-sized branches and leaves to see if it'll die...the neighbor thinks i'm doing them a favor but in reality i look forward to chopping it every few months
I might have, after a few beers, thought that buying an Optimus Ti spoon from Amazon was a good idea.
A few days later, and without beer, I have decided that it was.
I was using a prison issue spork that may have followed me home from work. So now the tax payers can have their sport back.
The last New Year (2013) Garry (me ) was a good boy with nice behavior, therefore Santa presented me a complete system FILBE.
And I use it with pleasure.
I use the small assault pack as an everyday pack for weekend and around the city, for my everyday tasks and it is not a bad one for the three-day outdoor.
And bigger one from two ( left down corner) is the best for any more serious outdoor activities or for longer trips in the woods.
The bottom photo was taken near 70 kilometers to North of Saint-Petersburg, Russian Federation.
