Post your Bark Rivers HERE

Hey link2derek. I have seen various pics of your BRK knives here and there. I have always wondered about group shots of your collection. I really like the pic of the Gunny in black and white ebony (if I am correct).

Nice pics everybody. I hope more people chime in with pics of their BRKs. This will be a great thread.

No pics yet, but I have a Bravo 1 in S35VN with Black paper Micarta, and a Bravo Necker 2 in 3V with Green and Black G10, Both very well made knives, I love them both. The Bravo 1 is a friggin tank, but it cuts extremely well. One of the favorite fixed blades I own.

Invest in strops and compound.

I love my barkies!! They are the sharpest knives I own! I use the smaller ones for skinning and the larger ones for cutting up the meat.

These are my smaller ones, the mini canadians, mini skinner and EDC. I also have a woodland special

My larger ones are the canadian special and bravo 1. The top two are my swamp rats.

I made the mistake of redoing my swamp rats from a convex edge to a regular beveled edge, or whatever you want to call it. Big mistake. The convex edge is much easier to maintain and is a much sharper and longer lasting edge. Once you ruin it, it's hard to get it back again. I think I managed with my swampies but one of them has a flat spot at the tip.

I repeat, get a strop and some compound. Also, notice something else. Mine aren't shiny and new. They are meant to be used. Just make sure and strop it before it gets really dull. It's easier to keep them sharp than restore it to sharp. You don't have to be obsessive, I kept a strop at the camper but reality is they would still be sharp after skinning 3 deer. I strop them when I'm done. I used to strop between deer but that's not neccasary.

The only bark river I have is a Canadian special. Really the only fixed blade I use as well. It's perfect for me except for the sheath which had zero retention and allowed too much of the handle to stick out. I was afraid to sit down because it could fall right out.
A custom kydex sheath from Kiah fixed that problem and now I couldn't be happier with it.

Fresh from the spa with ironwood burl:

Beautiful!!!

The canadian special is my favorite model. Not so much for skinning, but for everything else. The mini canadian is perfect for skinning.

My matching set.

Most recent of all of them, minus the Bravo Necker, Bravo 1, one of the Auroras, Liten Bror, and Bravo Micro, Plus a Lil Carver and Canadian Special.

No photo but I have the Bravo 2 and it's a great knife. I plan on getting a Bravo 1 LT also.

My favorite fix knife is out of the house . After 2 years of good use it chipped so it's out for a spa .

Featherweight Hunter just arrived yesterday. It's a beautiful little slicer. It's ALMOST too small for four fingers, but I wouldn't want it any larger because it fits in my pocket nicely.

Hey link2derek. I have seen various pics of your BRK knives here and there. I have always wondered about group shots of your collection...

I've never done a group shot of my BRKT's because I believe I get better pics of individual knives (with the camera on my p.o.s. iPhone 4 - my good SLR camera died 2 years ago, and I never replaced it). Maybe if I get a new camera I'll do a group shot of my entire collection - that would be a project!
