Giving these to my parents as a gift for christmas. Think I want to order a set for myself. I like these.

It's only a day old. Let it experience a couple of days of purity before it becomes a grizzled veteran the next Wood War. Sometimes you shouldn't be so eager to push the babies from the nest.

I'd make up more stupid metaphors, but you're right. I need to scratch it up good soon.
 
Decided to get my new BK16 dirty yesterday. My wife told me the Christmas tree needed to be taken out of the house, so I did what I do every year. First, we take off all the limbs and let them dry out to use in our fire pit for night time fires in the backyard. Nothing quite like the smell of fir boughs burning IMO. Then, we let the trunk season for a year. I have last year's trunk ready to burn.

Wow that a lot of work with the 16! I think you may need a 9 next.... :D

Growing up my community had a 12th Night christmas party where everybody gathered together and made one huge bonfire out of 30+ trees. Much fun! I miss those parties.

Thanks Mike, It is really comfy.

I took the scales off my 14 and put them on the 24. Im using these scales and sheath below for the BK24 for right now. I want to try it out a while and let the 14 take a break. Cam made the scales and sheath, and i added the firesteel to it that i use to have on another knife.
