Been a member for a long time but haven't posted. Thought I'd join in after some encouragement from a friend on BCUSA.
BK9 I just started some mods on.

PS. If there's an introductions thread my apologies, I didn't see one.

This corner of BF is kinda like the local diner where everybody goes to hang out and shoot some bull. Not pretentious, not prissy, just plain old regular folks who all have an inordinate amount of 1095CV stashed all around them. You'll like it here.

Nice job on the 9! Looks like you're planning on adding a choil as well? I was thinking of adding one to mine as well. I'd love some details if you do it!

Here's as good a place to start as any, especially with a mod as smexy as that! I really like what you did with the tip, kinda like a stretched out BK-12. Lookin' forward to seeing the rest. Please post up some pics in the Beckerhead Knife Making and Modification thread if you would be so kind. Welcome!

Thank you very much for the kind words bro! I'd be happy to post some photos there. I did an intro in the general discussion thread (wasn't sure the best place to do it), to me it's always nice to get to know at least a little bit about your online friends.

@pollock9131: The best place for an intro to THIS community of Beckerheads and BK&T enthusiasts (and the sundry miscreants and reprobates that they hang out with) would be in the BK&T subforum, which is where we are digitally located at present. BK-9 mod for the win? Check! You'll receive a warm welcome, I'm sure.

Thanks! Here's a copy of my intro I posted over in general discussions as this is likely where I'll spend the majority of my time. ;-)

Long Time Member Into

"Hi everyone, I joined the forum way back in 2010 but I'm just now posting and hope to be active here. I've always loved and been fascinated by knives. Years ago I struggled with knife sharpening and started doing lots of research on the subject. I eventually got fairly good at sharpening and started sharpening knives for others. This led to an even greater interest in knives but more so why some stayed sharp much longer than others. After years of frustration at the poor quality I was getting at the time from most factory knives I decided to give making a knife a try. After making my first I was addicted to knife making and began to study and research every aspect of it I could. I had a tool I designed and made for Rockwell hardness testing and a couple of mentions in Blade Magazine, then one of my knives in Wayne Goddard's latest book and I was ready to conquer the world of knife making. LOL Well that's when I had an accident that changed my whole world. I was left disabled and no longer able to make knives. I was so frustrated and depressed that I could no longer make knives that I quit even looking at or buying knives. Hence my long time membership but no activity. About a year ago I joined the BCUSA forum though and started seeing a bunch of knives and got me back interested in them again even though I can no longer make them. A friend there on BCUSA after seeing a knife I'm doing some minor mods on encouraged me to get active here so here I am. :- )

If you'd like to know any more about me feel free to ask. Hope to learn a lot and be of help if I can."

Haven't been around the forums much lately because I've been super busy staying outdoors. This is my well worn BK15 with godspeed kydex. This knife lives on my hiking backpack and goes everywhere with me. Great Knife.
