I like it without thumb ramp...but minus the choil. Each to their own, but main reason I pass up on every BK5 deal. Lots swear by the blade and love it, but choil / gap between blade edge and handle, not for me.

You must really hate a choil...the 5 is a great piece of steel...
I feel the same way about serrations, although I have a few Beckers with them, they see little or no use. Simply added to the collection.

Well, i guess i can say " better have a knife with you when you need it than need a knife and don't have it" probably most of them aren't users but they are there for whatever task needs to be acomplish, regards.!!!

Yeah, I've been wanting that exact mod minus the choil about ever since I got my nine, only Friday I finally bought a grinder/sander so this is right on time lol. Perfect inspiration (copy hehe)

Now, when will I get around to it?
Well...it still in the work van and the 9 is MIA, so...

Thanks guys! It's sure been fun for me, it's been a Loooooong Time since I worked on a blade. Can't wait to finish it.
