Got a BK16 last week, expecting a BK9 with micarta (lost in mail somewhere...waiting for UPS to respond), and just now ordered a BK7.

It’s funny how I’ve been slowly gravitating more and more to the KaBar and Becker camp here on the forum. Not only are the knives great but the people who enjoy them are a fine bunch of humans!

It is very soft when it’s young. It’s an invasive that grows like crazy...but it’s fun to chop up!

BK2: Hacking out the rough shape:
Bk16: Whittling the final shape
BK14: Smoothing the final shape and working out previous imperfections
Well, I could have done it completely with each of the knives, but using them makes so much fun...
The BK2 is quite a beast
The BK16 is very good and due to the flat grind very controllable
The BK14 is just great with everything I throw at it
Now I'm looking forward to the elongated 14 scales, but this topic will be worth its own thread.
