I've always outlined the scales with a pencil. Than remove em and carefully apply remover with a Q-TIP just up to line and it doesn't matter away from it. Once I have the grip outline stripped apply where needed . Don't go passed the scale outlinesI have been pondering stripping the 16 since it should really help with reducing friction while making cuts.
The 9 and 7 are most likely gonna stay coated for a while.
Quick question on the stripping...do you leave the scales on? Will the remover damage the scales?
Here's how I did it: https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/mild-bk2-mod.1393307/#post16057350I have been pondering stripping the 16 since it should really help with reducing friction while making cuts.

I just recently saw 91bravo keep the Micarta scales on put remover everywhere said it took all the paint and cleaned his scales all at the same time
Sounds like the way to go to me in the future
. But hopefully 91 will respond and tell more about that process
this I have experienced I put the remover I use in a small empty can if I have one . I couldn't find one at the time I wanted to strip so I used a plastic salsa cup
it devolved it
