Thanks. It's not really that hard, just a little time consuming, if there's a bunch to color. I use the GIMP program. Open up a photo, then duplicate the layer. Desaturate the new layer, then add a mask to it. Then, take the paint brush, and paint on the black and white photo, where you want the color from the original to come through. About it. Merge the layers when finished, then save the photo.

I just found this pic of me shaving during a bit of a "break" in the 2nd battle for Fallujah. There in the bottom left of the pic is my Machax. I think all that's really visible is the handle that had been paracord wrapped over the grivory. It's a stretch for a BK&T pic I know, but I was happy I found one in country.
