I used horticulture 20% vinegar on my eskabar and it got almost black in about 5 min.The steel looks darkened with something like a hot vinegar dip
I'm very curious of your opinion on the sandblasted BK&T Reinhardt .

It's also thinner and lighter than the 21. Faster in the hand
The 21 is about 1/16" thicker. Don't know if there is a difference in weight between the different steels as well ?Is it really? I thought they were the same thickness....
Good info kj good to see your feeling betterhttp://www.bladeforums.com/threads/the-reinhardt-kukri-legacy.1402955/
The thickness on all three are different.
The grind height is also a major difference.
The blackjack RBK is 440C and the combat kukri is AUS-8 i believe.
Your welcome 91, there is quite a difference in weight between the two I have. Not sure what the Japan model weighs compared to the 21. But it's a little thicker then I would think it has to be the heavyweight of the three. Thanks for the comparison Xr6x . The difference in weight between the Blackjack and the BK&T is night and day difference. Is it that way between both of yours?
