Great first impressions.
Well balanced, easy to handle.
Still getting used to carry such a big knife in my pack though. And havent really used it hard yet :)
More to come :D

I started new scales two years ago and finally finished them today. Well, mostly finished, there's always some improvement to make. I made black canvas micarta scales years ago and decided to make a better set. These scales are camo canvas micarta with dark red G-10 liners. I wet sanded to 400 grit. Could've made them prettier but I was aiming for utility. I can always make them pretty later.

Thanks to the excellent B Brommeland , I just got new TKC scales for my well worn and used BK16. It used to wear the Kabar micarta scales, but honestly, they made me nuts. They kept shifting, even with the screws cranked down hard. Looking forward to testing these out, but they look great and feel great in the hand.

I wet formed my sheath to the new scales, and the knife clicks into place perfectly.

Looks awesome man.

Tea time in the sunny backyard whil making the edge of my 9 all mine.
Removed the factory scratch pattern from the edge on my waterstones and the stropped until the edge was all smooth and shiny :D
Just realised the sharpening stones are not in the pic because they were soaking in the sink :D

Like a lot of knives, etc. Didn't sell well, then after they stopped making them, everyone wanted one. My wife loves hers.
Yes. I really need to throw on of mine into the rotation more. We just don't get much time out anymore, so when I do I usually grab one of the tried and true favorites.
