Post your Becker knives pics here

i saw them at michigan knives, go figure

After looking up their prices, it is true they are cheaper than ER...though they are both expensive. Forgot how much ER knives cost. Though the Parang comes with the survival kit which is probably $50 or so, $145 for the knife may not be all that bad. Seems like a good knife.

Tiki VS BK7

Easy win for the BK7, My wife is going to be pissed I better hide the evidence....

mmm, the JAB is great stuff. need to abuse mine more...

the 9. ah so.

teh Fox line has me all twitterpated lately :> they have some excellent looking choppers and lovely shapes and reasonable prices. they appear to be Extrema Ratio but a less expensive lineup? mmm. love me that Extrema Ratio Khukri KH i gotta tella ya. perhaps a Fletcher Knives Ulysses?

Yeah,
I thought about the FOX MD lineup for a long time before making a purchase..the prices are steep for this poor boy!
I really love the Parang. Its a lighter knife than I expected, but it performs so well, its suprising.
The JAB was recommended to me by Bladite, so I have him to thank for one of my favorite blades..its in my BOB everyday in the Jeep.
I beat the snot outta mine, and it begs for more!

And finally, last BUT NOT least..my BK9, this is my 4th BK9..whenever I loose my mind and sell one..I have to buy one right away.. THis one isnt going anywhere. As a matter of fact, if I get the chance..I would buy as many as I can now.
I think I need a BK2, my buds was calling my name.

OH, I stripped all these last night..
The JAB looks awesome stripped!!!

The included PSK is cool..at least the tin is..most of the gear in mine was replaced by better gear right away. The pouch is cool.

I got a Mora of Sweden Bushcrafter Triflex and that is one awesome blade, it is LASER sharp, and I don't mean like fuzz a toothpic, I mean fuzz an arm hair. And to be so thin at the tip, that thing bores like a gopher. Love it, just wish it was full tang. Not really any reason, I just want more 'tang.

My favorite way is "Citri- Strip" it is a varnish and paint remover. It is citric acid based, and has less harmful fumes, so you can use it indoors.
Take the handle off, place blade in stainless steel sink (or outdoors on something you dont mind messing up) , spray until blade is covered..go drink 3 beers or about 30 minutes...which ever comes first..and take to the blade with a putty knife..
Its not clean or fun, but its not so bad either.
Oh, wear latex gloves. And dont cut yourself with a blade covered in acid..thats BAD.

Is there any paint or residue left?

Thanks gunknifenut & moosez45

Some spots you may have to use a putty knife or an agressive brush, but no, for the most part the gunk just falls off when you spray it. Thats using the Jasco Epoxy Paint remover, I don't know about citristrip.

I can't remember what type of stripper I used, but it was some nasty stuff. It ate through a couple of types of gloves, burns like heck.

Yow! Nice one.

Anyway, I took my BK-2 and BK-11 hunting again today. Spotted a crapload of coyote tracks. Here are a few of them with the BK-2 to give some sense of scale...

They were very fresh. It had been snowing off and on all night - just stopped as we were pulling up. This area is a little bit sheltered but there was also a 20 mph wind blowing. The less sheltered tracks leading in to this area still looked crisp and fresh. I don't believe I was more than half an hour, maybe an hour behind the doggies.

Saw one late this past summer on the backtrail of a young eight point. The coyote was the as big as a decent sized German Shepherd.
