I like the concept of combos/piggybacks.. Often combos seem to involve a large chopper/heavy blade/axe with a smaller tool or fine cutting blade that provide a back-up, but also a wide range of options... I have a special top secret project in the works, and it would be be really helpful to see how you guys approach this idea.. Thanks!

This is an interesting design that I found on-line(I don't own this piece...Wish I did)

Where did you get that Hawk rig? Sweet set up!

I'm a large chopper, medium FB guy myself.

In the works when some supplies arrive is a piggy-back for a Busse ASH1 & Active Duty.

Tony,
Sweet! Is that Ilbruche's work with the Farmer?

Coaldigger,

Awesome Breeden set-up!!!!!

OK - I gotta ask a couple of questions...

Varg,

Do you have a pic of the Barkie Hudson Bay rig? Damn that knife is nice...

SnakeDoc - Is the Silky part of your existing combo? That rig looks real handy...

Hi all,

I have 2 set ups that I use regularly.
In the first pic is the my Every Day Carry, that I carry on my belt.
My hatchet and my Wildcraft knife with spy capsule in the handle and then
the smaller knife is my whittler knife. Both knives fit in the sheath with a pocket for a sharpener and a matchsafe.

Then I carry a shoulder bag kit with a pouch that holds my axe and then my first knife that I made with a scandi grind.

Here is a pic of the scandi knife and the axe.

I also made up a second scandi grind knife same as the first knife but with curly maple handles and you can not see the scandi grind on this knife. You have to feel it:D This is also my first knife that I made using 1095 steel.

So far I have been switching out both scandi knives every other day when I head to the woods. I have been working on a new camp site over the last week or so and have been cutting wood with the axe and carving fuzz sticks with both scandis I have been making a bunch of them to have on hand for when I get there every thing is all ready to go for a fire and such.

Here is one I made up at a customers request. The sheaths are made to be carried together or each can be carried seperately.
