This fella in my pocket for the evening. Still can't decide on the clip, right now it's clipless in a slip.
I was glad I found one w/DT Damascus. I figure those are only gonna get harder to find as time passes.A real looker that one!
Thank you sir.Simply awesome!
That's quite disappointing. CRK is excellent but apparently not perfect. Too bad you don't have any other knives to use while it is away.Thinking this might be going back to the Mothership. LBS is proud and off center a bit
I was surprised to learn that the tanto edges are flat ground with a micro bevel. Was expecting a zero convex. I think the primary tanto grind is at the same angle as the straight edge, but as said above the microbevel is more obtuse. In the long run, I may flat grind my tanto Sebenza without the microbevel. It will probably cut better. Is the edge angle the same at the tip as the rest of the blade?
I agree with you, however would you then have to sharpen the whole of the flat?I was surprised to learn that the tanto edges are flat ground with a micro bevel. Was expecting a zero convex. Yes, but I emphasize long run. Eventually, microbeveling alone will shorten the width of the tanto bevel itself, thus changing the overall shape of the blade. Yeah, that would take a while. The other thing is that every time you use a microbevel, it gets a little thicker behind the edge.I agree with you, however would you then have to sharpen the whole of the flat?
