Post your CRK carry knife for today.

This thread reminds me how much I wanted one of those professional soldiers with scales, and how much I like the thumbstud if it wasn't timascus since CRK's really suck

Pulled the clip off and got new lanyard. Has been my work/office carry everyday.

The CRK I never knew I needed (but really did)... Insingo Inkosi in natural micarta. Absolutely perfect size for EDC--won't intimidate if I use it even in an urban area, and the micarta adds just the right decorative touch without detracting from the "tool knife" function. The Insingo blade is amazingly practical for everything from slicing fruit to opening packages, and I actually prefer the adjustable pivot to the Sebenza's "perfect" spacer. Let's me "tweak" the knife a bit which is always fun. Not that it actually works any better given the machining tolerances of the Sebenza, but what the heck.

I've been CRK-less for too long so when I saw a Millit clip on the exchange last week I grabbed it but had nothing to mount it on.
Grabbed this large 21 from KSF and couldn't be happier with it.
Took a while to figure out which inlay to match the clip and then choosing a personally appealing pattern.
I ordered a grey/gold dot bead for it, the black just doesn't really match up right IMO on this one.

Love some spalted beech! You picked out a great pattern! KSF rocks! Carrying my small today.

Did you scotch Brite the scales on your Sebenza?

The two plain Janes I own get so scratched in my pockets because they bounce off everything in my pocket. I like to call it pocket washed instead of stone washed. Every so often I’ll take the scale side to either scotchbrite or some other similar material to even/balance up the look. It softens the edges some but it homogenizes the look overall. Now the inlay and the diamond plate graphic ride in leather when in my pocket so the ti has no snail trails or scratches.

It’s always an internal struggle as whether to carry raw or covered, once it gets its first mark then the decision gets made for the knife and it’s future method of carry forever determined.
