I sold a small Sebenza a while back and really regretted it. I have tried lots of knives over the last few years of collecting, and I have come to the conclusion that nothing beats a CRK. My personal favorite is the 21, but they are all great. I will probably try the 31 one day, but thought I would grab a 21 or two while they are still available. My next one will be a PJ with Damascus. That combination has always been a favorite of mine.
I'll try to post pictures of some other 21's at some point. Right now, I'm totally stuck on this basket weave.
I watched how raindrop and ladder is made, it's actually very simple for damascus. Basket weave is a much more difficult pattern to make.
It's hard using damascus, but I'm not a collector. If I own it, it must get used. I like wear on all my axes, chainsaws and other tools. Why should this be different?
Check out the scratches near the thumb stud in left picture, they are running mostly left to right. We are on our way! Thumb stud needs more wear now.
There can be only one...ladies and gentlemen meet my new EDC. My small micarta is on its way to its forever home and the Wilson made the cut. ( see what I did there?)View attachment 1310334
Coming up on a month of carry with my first CRK (bought at a ZT like price) and thanks to the scratches and rounded tip, I don’t worry about using it. Awesome knife, I don’t see myself buying Benchmade or ZT blades for a while.
