The tanto on an inkosi is a cutting edge, although thick enough to handle some prying. It’s a dual ground convex edge that is brought back fairly far. The thickness of the blade goes all the way out to the tip. It still can absolutely cut, but it is mainly designed for piercing material.I can see whyThe Inkosi is my favorite CRK.
How’s that front edge on CRKs Tanto ? Is it more for prying or is that a cutting edge ? I had a Strider Tanto years ago and out of the box it wouldn’t cut butter on a hot day lol.
That CRK Tanto sure looks beautiful I’ve always loved the looks of a Tanto.
It's definitely a different grind than I'm used to from other tantos I've owned. I carried Emerson CQC-7 tantos in a couple sizes for a good chunk of time, and whereas those are just "here's another section of the same type of edge" the Inkosi is more like "here's a totally different style of edge in this one spot." I dig it!I can see whyThe Inkosi is my favorite CRK.

Well I like the looks a lot and definitely like that it cuts and gives you many options for useIt's definitely a different grind than I'm used to from other tantos I've owned. I do use it as a cutting edge, although I'm more likely to use the "main" edge. If I'm not mistaken it's a lot like a Scandi grind, so I suspect the day I find something to scrape, or need to sharpen a pencil, will be a delight.![]()
