I never was too good at it. Enough to get by, I guess, but I could be better.
 
Trying to do this with branches of Norway maple is a completely different exercise than with the white pine from my shop.....like the difference between hardwoods and softwoods ;).
 
Kid, you're getting better at this feather stick thing.

Apparently, I don't take/keep as many fuzzstick pics as I thought, so here's what I could dig up on short notice.

For me it's not a matter of the knife not being sharp enough. It's a matter of lacking the skill to feather the wood without completely shaving it off.
