With all the flooding and floating logs in the lakes this year, I haven't been able to get out and show off Spongeboat Basspants. So, I'm gonna show it off here. The vinyl was done by a friend who owns a sign shop. It's a 1976 Sea King tri-hull with a 2001 115HP Johnson Ficht. It used to be a very ugly shade of oxidized blue.

I had bassboats for over thirty years. This is what I have at the moment. A Bass Baby

The bass baby has wheels. I can load and unload it by myself.It was designed to fit inside a full size pickup truck bed. Its stable and easy to control. The downside , it will flood in rough water. I had to beach it the last time out and walk back.
 
dont have a full pic but we (my dad and i) bought a 21ft Javelin with 200hp Johnson motor bass boat.. love it.. its a 98 i think. still runs good.. next motor will be a 4 stroke though.. the only pics i have of it are in the fishing pics. you see the blue thats about it LOL.

It looks a lot tougher in person...trust me :D it's a work boat though. :p

I had it hauled out at the end of June to paint the bottom and change the zincs but ended up doing a bunch of fiberglass work and replacing the propeller.

Here are a few more pics from this spring of the boat in the water. I have a bunch of work that I want to do once I can get the bank account padded a little bit. I have to repair the hydraulic hauler, replace the pilothouse windows and put some spray rails on the hull. When I get some funds I will probably end up rebuilding the entire wheelhouse to give us some more space to work and store gear.

That boat is a dream of mine.
My family are lobstermen in Nova Scotia. I love those boats and with names like LeBlanc and Doucette in my family I should be able to get a good boat.

It's always been a dream of mine too. As long as I can keep making the payments I'm happy. :D

The boats in Nova Scotia are built for moving a lot of traps long distances. We have a lot of the Novi hulls down here. I stuck with a Maine hull (actually Bruno & Stillman are in New Hampshire) because I like the option of being able to charter fish with it. You can't charter with a boat that is not made in the United States.

I almost had the chance to buy one for 25.00 off Craigs list. Missed it by an hour. I have a 17 foot gruman river canoe a 17 foot lake canoe, and a 19 foot square back gruman freighter with a 5 horse motor. I also have a Wards Sea King canoe in a 12 foot flavor. I like the 19 ft sqareback the most with the motor.
