Post your Huntsman knives!

Screw it, its time to make the Tyrant Katana.
Just don't tell anyone that in the photo there is a super-duper secret development of Tyrant Katana/Wakizashi.🤫🫣
This is actually a top secret, left somewhere in laboratories, or in those fantasies, after I drank 18 cans of beer.
Just imagine, a tyrant, with a blade 20-22 inches, and a handle something like 10-12.

Screw it, its time to make the Tyrant Katana.
Alright, I’ve taken on the entire creative task and come up with an incredible Tyrant Katana, as well as designed a mid-sized Tyrant model and a Tyrant FAT EDC. Now we just need to make them, adjust the weight, and we’ll have all three perfect knives:
- Tyrant Katana: 22 inches blade, 12 inches handle.
- Mid-sized Tyrant: 8-9 inches blade, 4-5 inches handle.
- Tyrant EDC: of course, just a scaled-down version of the Tyrant.
And they say making knives is hard. I’ve come up with three!HlZRB8Z.jpg

Great- So you can design them, now you have to make them 🤣

I'm an artist, and I'll just be designing knives. You know, they say repetition is an art form. Look, we already have the awesome Tyrant Bowie. Now, I'll be creating blades by simply tweaking sizes in Paint.
I'm sure making blades is kind of like baking cookies. I once saw how it's done—they pour dough into molds, right? 😁 I'll just pour liquid steel into a mold; that's how it works, isn't it? What could go wrong?

Haha.....I think your knives have too Many raisins ;)

You know, there should be a zest in everything. I’m sure a good knife is like good cookies: the key is not to overbake it in the oven, but also not to take it out too early. See, I’m saying the process is essentially the same. I know, I’ve seen how my wife bakes cookies, and I’m pretty sure it’s more or less the same with knives. 🤔
P.S
I think it's time for me to start looking for investors.

I relate to most things in life to brewing beer, so I can understand the similar baking references.....
Just mildly less so. Haha!

Well… I’ve never made knives, baked cookies, or brewed beer…
But I’m great at references, irony, and stretching a Tyrant Bowie in Paint to turn it into even more blades.
You know, I think sooner or later I’ll get to a fillet Tyrant Bowie; I just need to master Paint’s tools a bit more, because honestly, I’m using it for the first time too. 😂
You know, I want a Tyrant Katana. I’ll start a YouTube channel where every video is titled something like, “Eating a whole onion until Huntsman releases a Tyrant Katana.”

Okay, can I flex the sharpness of my Tyrant a bit?
22 DPS Tyrant bowie custom resharpened

I can hear the sharpness! Great work on that edge. Getting the final edges on these is the most stressful part of the whole process for me. Looks like you've mastered it!

The video turned out bad quality, but: 😁
But you know.
0% flex
0% editing
0% shooting quality
0% English proficiency and accent
159% blade sharpness
255% Tyrant Bowie
P.S
You know, the amount of carbides in the steel somehow makes it so that at 22 degrees per side, it cuts a napkin (paper towel)
Blades with zero grind aren't always that good.

I say keep them coming, I like seeing how much these things can take, as the only thing I've done with mine was put a mirror edge on it and sliced through a bunch of cardboard.. Just haven't had time to get some real use out of it, yet.

You know, I took down four huge, dry trees with the Tyrant, as thick as the ones in the second photo—they’re massive and rock-hard, plus completely dried out. I also chopped a bunch of thinner stuff, like bushes, and after all that, they still cut paper. I’m amazed. I custom-sharpened them to 22 degrees per side.

The Fell Beast was awesome in the context of this forest and river walk with my grandpa. The trails were completely overgrown with bushes and small trees, you know, and we hacked our way through with the Fell Beast. For testing, I used the Tyrant on the big trees. the Fell Beast is light, and my 73-year-old grandpa was cutting bushes and small trees with it to clear the path, handling it with ease. :)

I seriously made so many swings and chopped through a ton of wood with the Tyrant. When I got home and washed the blade, I was shocked that it still cut paper. So cool. On top of that, the Huntsman blades helped me have a great time with my grandpa. There’s something about these blades—even a 73-year-old had a blast swinging them.

P.S.
I also really love the confidence and grip that the Tyrant gives me. In total, I cut down 12-13 trees, with 6 of them as thick as the ones in the second photo, and the rest like the ones in the third photo or even a bit thicker, all dry.
It holds its edge incredibly well, and my hand doesn’t get tired from chopping. Maybe I’m just well-prepared and strong, who knows? :)
But the Tyrant is something truly incredible.
I tested the blade’s flexibility when I drove it deep into a tree, batoning it, and bent it side to side. The Tyrant, with its thickness, still flexed slightly from side to side, but I REALLY love the confidence that the blade absolutely won’t break, even under the stress of my body weight pulling it back and forth. The steel, the blade itself, and the handle together are EXTREMELY DURABLE!

Love to see it man! This is like a chef getting to see people enjoy a dish they worked hard on!

Well, folks, I'm back with the Tyrant, polished and sharpened to 0.5 microns using a cast iron lap and then an abrasive-resistant tape glued to flat wood—basically a strop. So now the Tyrant is super shiny, just as it should be 😎.
The dark parts on the blade are just my reflection; the blade is literally mirror-like everywhere. And it's extremely, extremely sharp—almost a bit scary.

Absolutely gorgeous my friend! I wish I could get an edge like that! Loving the battle worn 24K look as well. You're the guy that gets a Ford Raptor and actually takes it off road and uses it like God intended!
