Post your Spyder Pics

Very cool. I've always wanted a Leica M - I love the old look they have. Looks like my old Minolta.
A bit pricy though, lol. The M9 I've been eyeballing is at least down to $3,500 now. Lol.

They're a little ergonomically different I suppose would be one description. But a very well built Golden model that are getting a bit hard to find at a good price.
I had a couple of them and regret not having one still.

It was my first Spyderco and I'm definitely hanging onto mine.

It's certainly got my attention. I'm likely never going to own one though, lol. I'm much too cheap! Haha.

New additions to the collection, except for the Ladybug. That was a gift from the seller to my girlfriend. Purchased from on hell of a guy here on the forums!

Lum tanto folder is by far my favourite knife. i am still on the lookout for a black G10 with satin plain edge blade, as I do not like serrations or black coated blades my lum tanto collection would be complete, titanium, gray G10 and black g10.

Yeah I remember wanting one years ago. I think it came out with the Rock Lobster, which also had mixed reviews on ergos.

And ThrottleMonkey (great name by the way), wow that's a serious haul!
I've never handled a Karambit, but looks fun.

I absolutely love the Lum Tanto! This one is my first and is for my collection (sigh). I have to find the rest of the Lum Tantos to add to my collection as well. Hopefully I can find one to beat up and carry while I am on the hunt. I really missed the boat on these.

The Lum folder is no slouch either. I am currently talking to the seller I got these from about buying one to carry. I bought this one for my collection too. I would have never bought one to carry, but after handling this one, I feel like I would be missing out if I didn't.

The PM2 Sprint was purchased as a user, but after inspecting it, alas, it too is going in my collection. I purchased a plane Jane PM2 a few weeks ago and will be putting the original scales back onto the PM2 Sprint and replacing the plane Jane PM2 with the custom scales off of the Sprint. Those scales are super cool btw lol.

As for the Karahawk, I bought this one as a user and had to make myself carry it and I have to say I am loving it! It replaced a CQC7 Waved that I have been carrying for over 2 1/2 + years that I just couldn't get out of my pocket. I like to always carry a user that doesnt frighten the sheeple and a blade for defense, due to their ability to easily conceal. A firearm can't always go where you go (a crying shame if you ask me). That and a knife doesnt carry quite the penalty as a firearm. I love the Waved feature because it is hands down the fastest opening folder. Hence my inability to stop carrying my CQQ7. That is no longer the case and the Karahawk fits the bill perfectly! If you need a defensive blade and are on the fence.... buy it! You will not regret it!

Just in case you were wondering.... my girlfriend freaking loves the Ladybug. I have purchased quite a few knives for her over the years and she actually uses them. When I gave her the Ladybug, she opened up the box, smiled with glee, told me to tell the seller thank you, and stuck it right in her pocket to be used. I wish I had the ability to do that!

I realize that this definitely TMI but f@$! it! Isn't that what forums are for?! Lol

Just got this back from Spyderco on Monday... Delivered on a national holiday!

So this came from my Dad. He found it while he was on a bike ride down by the docks in Newport, Oregon about... 20 years ago? Long ass time ago, that's for sure.
Anyways, he had it for some time but rarely used it. Most of the dings were there when he found it (it probably skidded out of a boat on a trailer or something).

Fast forward to two years ago when my Dad sent me a large box for my birthday. Full of knives.
Included was his M7 bayonet from Vietnam, Camillus Jet Pilot knife, a couple odds and ends and this Mariner.

Sadly though, the original serrated edge was completely FUBAR because he lent it to a friends who offered to "sharpen" it... on a grinder!

Here's the extremely depressing before pics:

So sad...

My brother-in-law is a very big Spyderco fiend and when I told him about it, he suggested I send it in to Spyderco to have them re-profile it.

I filled out the auto form on the website and not even 15 minutes later I got a reply. That's some amazing customer services, or perhaps a slow day...? ;)

$25 and about 2 weeks later I got it back with a very nice new profile and all nicely oiled up.

I think I see what the "hype" is about this company.
Hope to get some new ones soon...!

Orezona, That's a great story and I'm glad to see that the Mariner's edge could be saved.
