If you don't know how to post pics to bladeforums, read the 2nd link in my sig line or just email 'em to me and I'll make sure they make it to the mug page.

Dan, nice job with the pic summary.

Now, if we could start a DC passaround, there might be a chance of getting my mug in there...

Well done, Pen!:D And thank you for puting my picture out there, in such a noble company. I consider it a great honour!

FOGgy Mug...

I guess they don't trust him free roaming. When they need his servces a helicopter transports the cage. He shoots the M1A through the slots.

that isn't a mini 14 is it?

Reminds me of Uncle Johnny. He was flying over the boonies in a C-130 when it took fire, and he had to bail out with nuthin' but a .45, a Kabar, and a sixpack of Budweiser, which he drank on the way down. Hits the ground and takes out eight of 'em with the Colt, polishes off three more with the Kabar. Morale of the story, it ain't wise to fool with Uncle Johnny when he's been drinking. ;)

(yes, get a shovel boys, it's getting deep)

You got it.

I switched my domain and the hosting today. I probably missed a few emails, etc. but it went pretty smooth.

Just forgot to upload the mug pics...

Works now!:D

Nice work Pen.:)

BTW if anyone has pics, I'd be mroe than happy to host them on my website. Plus, I have a scanner, so you could mail me photos too.

Pendentive,

Appreciate the help in posting. Short version is this DOD computer doesn’t have the software to crop to size and so I sent Pen a larger version and he posted for me.

Sarge,

Part of the Squadron’s armory. Have to do checks and monthly cleaning of issued weapons. I usually do them towards the end of the month to give the Companies a few days for corrective action.

I do have a FitRep that has section C (narrative) comments “Capt. ___________ is in extremely good physical condition. Physically intimidates field grade officers, does not play the political game well.” The officer who wrote that had purposefully spent 5 years (and would have spent more if he could have) in DC and had trouble adjusting to the FMF again. Something about his lack of performance was because he was afraid I was going to draw my knife and bury it in his chest. The silence among the other Marines present was very thick and my response was “Sir, if I wanted to kill you I wouldn’t bother with a knife. I’d just reach over and snap your f***ing neck” in a calm voice.

Munk,

It is a DMR (Designated Marksmanship Rifle). Basically an M 14 in a pistol grip McMillan stock with adjustable cheek piece, Unertl 10X scope, all put together a Quantico. XO’s deployment rifle, fits in better with XO rifle usage than an M 16 variant.

S/f, Mike

Fog,

Thanks for the clarification. Looked M14, especially the handguard, but I couldn't see the receiver well in the photo. Didn't really think you'd have a Mini14 but not knowing you I had no reference for your size in relation to the rifle. (Was that a small man with a mini or a largish one with an M14?)

Glad to see the honorable M14 is still appreciated. I noticed a Special Ops used one in the Movie, BlackHawk Down, and figured it was historically accurate.
