lost my small sebenza-
and to make matters worse i never looked at the insurance reciept, they have the wrong zipcode on it-i wonder how this will effect me getting my money from them-

man this blows big time

Did you put the wrong zip code on the package? Did you put your return address on it?

Some of the members who work for the postal service are likely to have objections to the title you gave this thread. MIght not be the best way to ask them to help you out....

i wrote the right numbers and put a return address-
i had the knife for 1 stinking day-then sent in for a tune up-

and i dont give a rats fanny about anyone who works for the post office taking offense to this-

i can see the run around now that they will give me because they screwed up-

After you've been upset a while, calm down and think. A bit more information about date, time, place, who did what ... no one can help you with no information, just anger expressed.

I have one very good Friend that works for the P.O. I can guarantee you that he would never, and I mean never steal anything sent in a post. I understand your frustration. However, your statements should be posted in context. Many things could have happened to the extra knife. Don't assume what happened. Wars have been started over "assumptions". Just my opinion!

Well,First of all,I don't know what insurance form your using, but the ones I use, have a place for the sender to put the address on themselves.I've never had a Postal employee address my parcel. If they printed out something in the computer incorrectly,I don't see how the zip code will be your problem. If it is not delivered it may just get shipped back to you, because likely there will be no such address if it was the wrong zip code.Lastly, you haven't filed a claim yet according to what I'm reading,so I don't know why your assuming they will give you a run around.

ive dealt with ups after they destroyed a thousand dollar peamp-not any fun at all- cant see usps being any easier-

i dont think well of the post office anyway-i recieve 2-3 times a month other peoples mail, not houses on the same street but different cities ect-

the guys who deliver i can respect because they bust but to do the job in cny weather-but the others

i was told wait a month before i file in case its in the lost mail area or something like that-

hey if im wrong then i will say so to all postal employees-
but it dont look good at this point

The logic of this fails to impress me -- forgive me if I've heard it before: "The post office sucks but my mailman is great."

Who do you think is misdelivering that mail 2-3 times a month, some faceless bureaucrat?

Between collection and delivery, your mail goes through a lot of hands and a lot of machines. The system works, or problems would be A LOT more common. But without information, without a formal report to the right people, then as far as being able to do anything about it, nothing went wrong.

didnt say he was great-said i respect him for doing his job in the weather we have here-
you ever carry one of those bags thru 3 feet of wet snow going from house to house,we dont have roadside mailbox's-cant be easy-they do it 8 months a year-lol

post office lady said too wait so i will,if its lost a little time wont hurt anyway-
it says i have 180 days on the back of the paper work-

tarmix101-i never said they stole it,they misplaced it-lol

time and place
north syracuse ny
on the 23rd sent priority mail-2-3 days

I was up at Syracuse U. for a while. What a winter ... they had helicopters dropping powdered milk to outlying houses with children.

The funny thing about mailmen and the weather is, when the weather gets rough, the clerks (who work indoors) call in sick, but the mailmen come in to work anyway.

I have to agree, and after recently jumping the gun on a lost custom have come to realize that it probably wasn't there fault. They are (my little country PO) bending over backwards to help me.
I like may American's appreciate the service they provide, doing a tough job.

you must have been up here around 1967 -i was only 2 -the photos are unreal that my mom has-snow banks touching the telephone lines, thats got to be almost 20 feet-

baddest storm i remember was 97 i think-48 inches in 40 some hours-had a snow bank 8 foot high-

Very close -- winter of 1965-66. The snow covered most of the first floors of our dorms. One dorm's front door was blocked -- they had to tunnel out. I must still have the photo somewhere.

My buddy from Texas was looking forward to snow. He had never seen snow before. He got to see snow all right.

Food service people couldn't make it up the hill to our detachment so we ran our own mess hall. (The food improved. :)) We made our way downhill to see what we could get in the supermarkets and found people downtown were pretty blase about it. They mostly made it in to work and had lots of snacks on the shelves.

But we had to take turns breaking the trail. The snowfall -- not the drifts -- was up to our waists.

spheenx, relax. You came late to the discussion. We are no longer smacking each other in the head over this. Things go wrong and people get upset. Later, we all calm down and see if we can solve the problem.

Some day, everyone will come out of high school with degrees in English Composition and in Conflict Resolution. Until then, we do the best we can.

hey spheenx, I been emailing you for the past week, have u been receiving any of my emails? I'm still waiting on the mini grip. Email me when you get this please.

Gary! I totally forgot! I will send it out ASAP. I'll write you from my primary address, I'm gonna need your address again. Again, I apologize for forgetting! -Andrew
