We will be hosting a Practical Edged Weapons Training Seminar on Oct.27 and 28 at the Prado Olymipic Shooting Range in Southern California. The tentative instructors are Ernie Emerson, Steve Tarani, the Strider Guys, Marc "Crafty Dog" Denny, and Bram Frank. There should be product available from Emerson Knives, Strider Knives, and Spyderco. Cost will be $250. This will be well attended by law enforcement, but is open to the public. I will post later on how to register, but I wanted to give the forumites a chance to start penciling in some dates.

When you post the additional information, please provide the city that the facility is located. This will allow early and best price booking of accomodations and travel arragements.

Thank-you for the early heads-up.

This will be AWESOME...

Attend this excellent seminar . You will not be disappointed. NYETI has been able to contact and assemble some of the BEST and REALISTIC skilled Blade oriented players on this EARTH !
By all means take advantage of it and keep an open mind !

The beatings will continue, untill the MORAL improves...

I'll be there and looking forward to the challenge...
Hope to see many of you there...

Wow,

Since oct 31 is my birthday (yes, halloween), why don't you all chip in and fly me from the east coast to this thing. And pay all my fees too.

Man, if this was anywhere near me...

nyeti, would also appreciate the full dump via email. Thanks in advance.

I have to be in Reno the first week of October, this would mean two cross country trips in one month. Gotta see if I can make this work. Hmmmmm

Add me to the list as well.

I've just got over my last training session with Ernie, so I think it's time for the next one !

I will post within a week or two on where to send funds, etc. Prado is located in Chino CA., and I will find a good hotel in the Ontario area that will do a special rate, and try to everyone in the same location. This will be awesome, and is going to be very street oriented-you will be sore when its over, but happy.

Any chance of ever staging one on the East Coast?

I know I'll have the time, I just have to work on the fear of flying thing.

Send me the info. I'll work on trying to get a hold of some really good knock out narcotics and have the stewardesses drag me on board and buckle me up.

Looking forward to getting some good training and getting to rub elbows with everybody. (That's ELBOWS!!! Nothing else!!! :) )

Ok, did i get this right? you want to attend a (kick butt) seminar with the Strider guys, Ernest Emerson, and Bram Frank and you're afraid of the flying??, i'd rather be afraid of getting my butt smacked to the floor

I'm quite envious that you guys do get to attend this seminar, it sounds very interesting!
Have good time guys :)

Yeah.....getting my butt kicked and slashed at by the best in the business is very intimidating but I hope to leave there with more than just bruises and a deflated ego. I plan on walking...........ok ok Hobbling away from there with some good training.

As intimidating as that is when is the last time you heard of people walking away from falling a couple miles up out of the sky at an un-Godly speed in a huge chunk of metal????

I've seen several people walk away from getting the butt seriously kicked and then some but the falling outta the sky part scares the stuff outta me.

Second to the last flight I was on came too close to that. The pretty woman beside me had dug her nails into my forearm during the flight and I didn't know it until after we were on the ground safe and noticed all the claw marks in my arm.

Normally a pretty woman screaming and digging her nails into me is something I would usually end up liking:D (Heck liking it's what I wish for everyday) :D But at the time it just wasn't doing anything for me. Heck I even got away with having that done to me with my wife in the next seat and she didn't have a thing to say about it :D

The last flight they pretty much had to knock me out and chain me down. Waitaminute....ok ok that's starting to sound like another one of my demented fantasies. Anyways I was pretty much a wreck before and during the flight because I couldn't get the bad thoughts out of my head.

I think it's a control thing. When that episode happened it made me realize that I had absolutely no bearing on my safety at that moment. Once I realized that flying became a big no-no for me. Ask my wife she knows I am a huge control freak. When you're up there you have no control, none, nada, zilch, zip, 0......
