I’ve resized/compressed over and over again, yet it says too large. What the haps? Some days it let me post 2mb pics today it won’t let me post a 200kb pic
 
Have never had a problem if the pic is under 500k, but there have been random times where I was able to post larger images. Have heard rumors that the forum software can be set up to automatically resize pics.
 
If you want to post large photos, you'll just have to use a hosting site.

Question: While using an iPhone I just clicked on the "upload a file" button, chose the picture from my photos and it seemed to up load fine. Any reason I should or shouldn't do it this way? Seems a little more straight forward than this Imgur everyone is talking about.

I'm sure I just don't know the whole story, could anyone educate me?

Would think the only issue could be the file size. The limit seems to be 500k to upload directly, but there's been random times where it allowed me to upload larger ones.
 
Thanks for the reply. Very much appreciated. Does this count towards the media size I saw in the membership upgrade

I actually have no idea what that media gallery thing is. I have definitely uploaded more than 30M worth of pics over the years.

I wonder if the whole Imgur process is more based around non-paid membership.

Here's the really weird part...

I can SEE the image when I am in the Editor...!??!

But when I click Save Changes and the editor closes... no workie!

OMG! It started working...! curiouser and curiouser...

I just picture on my phone , screen shot it then post with no issues
