• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Praire starting to wake up

In all honesty, I don't even feel compelled to stay in Ontario. Any part of Canada would be fine. Aside from my parents, I'm not tied down - no wife or kids, and even being unemployed (and remarkably, even with an addiction to knives) I STILL manage to bring in more money than I spend. So saving money isn't too much of a challenge! :D:D:D

So yeah, I'm always hitting up the MLS, looking for that perfect opportunity!

I see you have Massasagua Rattlesnakes up there. We have them down here but they are rare. It seems they prefer wet sandy swampy areas. A man was bit by one north of here a few years ago and none of the emergency room people believed him. I have heard they are supposed to be docile, rarely rattle and the bite is rarely fatal.

Hello Zman308,

In this little park they did release a few specimens. This was a couple of years ago and I haven't heard of any monitoring programs to track how well they are doing or even if they have survived. Within the country as a whole, the last I heard of a sighting was about 20 years ago, when I was a kid. There was the occasional capture of one in a backyard - I remember my neighbhor captured one in his shed and killed it at the time.

I have a buddy who does biological assessments in the country and I'll ask him next time when the last sighting was. He should have records of it.
