Prairie Dog Safaris

As I wrote earlier, the "Diversity in the Workforce" door swings both ways. ;)

Maybe we can connect and I will take you to the Gravelly Range and go up to Marmot mountain and plug some of those vermin.Rem mod700heavy barrel

Oh, yeah. One of the reasons I am going now, as opposed to later in the year, like in June or July, is because May is when the prairie dog pups are out and about. And, they're dumber than doorposts. :D

That reminds me of Guyon going trout fishing:foot: :D

Toast to a great safari, Ken! You have some beautiful rifles and some excellent trophies!

Wow- I assume you are referring to The Adobe (of Photoshop/ acrobat/ etc. fame.) I am impressed they dont have a problem with the mounts. I am a fireman and a few years ago we tried to put a javelina mount up in the dayroom of the station. It lasted for about 2 weeks until the Chief saw it and had us take it down for fear of offending anyone.

Here is what one corner of my office at Adobe Systems looks like:

HAHAHAH...

A hunter/geek. I love the Klingon ship. Adds a touch of class there, Ken.:D

Man, now I know who to speak to for my discounted copies of photoshop suite for Mac.:D

snip...

When someone asks why I have antelopes hanging in my office, I simply tell them that the "Diversity in the Workforce" door swings both ways. ;):thumbup: :D

hehehehe... that cracks me up Ken!!! :D :D
I've got to use that one some day.

Have fun on your trip... and definitely take lots of pics.

There's no challenge to popping ground rats with a 4000 fps sledgehammer!

For real fun, I suggest a nice spearhunt - lash an ASH or BATAC to the end of a long stick, sneak up on the little boogers, and heave.. Now that would be a hunt to remember!

Excellent Ken! have a wonderful, fun, safe hunt. take loads of photos.

Yep. July 1st will mark seventeen years here.

I get away with it because I am very good at what I do at Adobe, and no one else can do my job. Every year, when I get a new antelope to hang on the wall, I ask the fellow from Facilities whether anyone else at dobe is hanging animals on their office walls, and every year I am still the only one. From left to right, they are the antelopes that I hunted in October of 2003 through October of 2007. All were harvested in Wyoming, about thirty minutes south of Devil's Tower.

You're a good man, Charlie Brown, for treating your folks like this. I find friendship with my young adult children extremely satisfying and very helpful in forgetting age 13-about 19! Nice rifles as well - I have a Ruger Hawkeye .204 for a "walking varminter" and am more pleased than expected with both rifle and cartridge. Cooper would be a great next step for more benched shoots.

Have a great time! Bill

Have fun Ken....lol, the office is great brother.

A guy down at my office had a blow up moose with an arrow through it's head hanging in his cube. Yep, they made him take it down. It's moments like that, when I really wonder what the hell happened to this state that I was born and raised in. Oh well....when they tell me I can't walk in the woods anymore is the day I'll call it quits. Until then....it's still one of the nicest places I've been too. Libs and all!:D

Until they take ALL your guns away... Or at least tax the ammo so heavily that it's impossible to shoot.

I feel that way here in WA. I swear, if they pass one more BS gun law, I'm moving back to Texas!

HAVE FUN KEN!!!

I have lived in California all my life and never had any problem owning and shooting any gun that I actually wanted to own. But if the nut job in D.C. doesn't go back to Texas soon it will all be moot... no one will be able to afford a gun. :grumpy: :grumpy: :grumpy:
