Praise for Benchmade's customer service

Just felt like telling you guys about the great experience I had with BM's service. I got a model 42 bali with the sheath. After a little while of wearing the sheath, the stitching was already fraying. I emailed them, they said send it in and they'll replace it. After a few weeks, it arrived today.
 
Benchmade customer service is the best! :cool: Everytime my clip gets bent, they send me a new one free :D They're also very quick to answer questions.
 
I don't think they are so great. I send in a brand new $200 limited edition Benchmade #630 Skirmish to customer service because a screw holding the Optimiser system rod was stripped out coming from the factory. After a month I got it back and it still doesn't open like it should. I emailed them about this opening problem two days ago and still have not received a reply.

Now my idea of great customer service is a company whose products are so reliable that they rarely/never have to be returned for customer service repair (like the Maytag man).

And if you do have to spend the time to box it up and stand in the line at the post office you know that it will be fixed properly and timely.

I just got back my 975SBT from them for a tune-up. The handle screws finally gave out since they anchor into the G-10 and the threads stripped away. The lock also had a tiny bit of play in it. I sent it in just about 2 weeks ago to the date and it arrived back this morning at 10am. It's like brand new all over again. BM is top notch IMO.
