Hello all,

Kelley and I have a new baby. She was born at 34 weeks gestation. She came on her own and was 6 weeks early. Good thing she was early because she had two complete knots in her umbilical cord. If she had went to 40 weeks she could have been born either retarded or dead due to low oxygenation.

She is currently in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit due to her not breathing too well. She is on CPAP machine and started at 52% O2 three days ago and now is on 21%.

I have a small video clip on my website to share with my friends and family if you want to check her cry. Click on http://dpcustomknives.com/Journey.html

and go to the bottom...

She was born November 08 at 1554 at 4lbs 13 oz.

Congratulations on the new little girl. Rachel was just in a hurry to meet Mom and Dad. Being down to 21% O2 in 3 days is great.
Our prayers are with your family but she's gonna be fine.

everything will be ok. very cute baby. i will pray for your famley.

She is a beautful little girl and our prays are with you on her speedy recovery.

Prayers sent. I have a friend who was born very prematurely. she was less than 1 lb. they didn't think she would make it, but she did. this was over 30 years ago.

Hang in there.

May the peace of God reign in your hearts. May God protect your little one and bring your daughter to be a healthy littlegirl and joy to your heart. Amen.

My wife gave birth to premature twin boys. One spent 12 days in NICU, the other was there 19. Today, 12 years later, they do well in school, play sports, and generally are lovable headaches like a parent hopes for. I know what a joy a new parent feels, but also understand why your daughter is in NICU. Congrats and many prayers.

My best friend was born the same way, He is 60 now.
You two have a beautiful little girl. Prayers are sent.

we'll put a stone in the fountain for you today, and send the best wishes of all of us.

Best wishes to you and the family, she looks like she is doing pretty well. Take care and hope everything works out, as your future is sure to be bright with that beautiful family.

Best wishes....if she is at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, she's exactly where she needs to be to get well. They have a Level III NICU and they are truly top notch. My oldest son was born there 13 years ago. He was 8 weeks early and they took excellent care of him.

Daniel,

My wife and I spent 9 weeks in the CICU at Boston Children's Hospital earlier this year with our newborn son. Our prayers and hearts are with as you go through this trial. The O2 setting of 21% is very good, as that is considered "room air", and I'm sure she'll be off of all support very soon.

Also, on this Veterans Day Weekend, I'd like to personally thank you for your service to our country, and for the sacrifices you have made and continue to make on our behalf.

Thanks Again,
Todd

My prayers are with you and your family at this time. God's peace and blessings on all involved.
