Prayers and Smoke Needed!

I'm very sorry to hear your news Tyrkon. Your aunt will be in my prayers  if there's anything I can do, you have but to ask!

Well the results of her angiogram came back and everything looks excellent. Whatever was "abnormal" earlier has subsided. Now it is just a matter of time. Getting her through the hospital stay. Getting her back home. And therapy. The Dr.s have to determine if there has been any loss of muscle control and deal with this through rehab. But, as it stands, it looks like a family will stay intact. A husband gets his wife and three sons get their mother back. My wife is on her way over to see her and find out more. While I hold down the fort here again. I never relax until the fat lady sings but things seem to have taken a turn for the better.

Thank you so much for all your prayers, smoke, thoughts of good will, and just plain old HOG encouragement. You guys are the best. :)

sorry to hear it. :(

Thoughts are with you and your wife. I hope everything works out!

Glad to here the outlook is good. I will keep your family in my prayers. thanks for keeping us updated.

Thanks Boss HOG. And the rest of you. It means a lot.

Update: They are doing some more tests in the morning and if all goes well they will take her off her respirator and see if she can breathe on her own. So tonight she is heavily sedated so as to rest and heal. But it is looking better each test. So that's a good thing. :)

Update: Yesterday my aunt was moved to a rehabilitation type facility. Kaiser refused to have her out of network any longer. So we will have to wait to see the quality of care she will get at this new facility. It will most likely be months before she gets home. However, she is making very good progress thus far. Her speech is almost completely normal now and she remembers what happened and her memory seems to be in tact. There is a long road ahead but at least it looks like the road leads back home. :)

Thanks again all you HOGS/PIGLETS/OTHERS ;) for the prayers, smoke, good vibes, etc... :) :) :)

We are all wishing her well! Hang in there, Hog Brother.

My MIL went through this a few times and came back just fine. Just remember to visit her often...let her know you love her and will not forget her. Your visits will also put the folks working at the facility on notice -- they will NOT get by with treating her shoddily.
