Thank you all for the prayers and well wishes for my mom who had open heart surgery today. She is still in ICU on a ventilator recovering and she showed us by means of a thumbs up that she is okay. I so much appreciate the prayers and support from everyone on this forum for your kindness.

In appreciation for said, I am giving away this Case SBG that I re-handled in Ivory and fluted the bolsters.

Just say "I'm in" and if you feel like sharing a picture of a traditional knife that reminds you of a loved one, that would be great.

Glad to hear her procedure went well and I hope that her post-op road to recovery goes smooth and easy. Always good to have family by your side and mothers are the core for family. Just spoke to my mum this evening via video chat and the dog and I miss her loads

My mother is a small Asian woman yet terrifying and sharp as a whip as all the women in my family are. They wear the pants :D
This North River is the embodiment of her, it'll cut you down twice if you even look at it wrong.

Wonderful news!!! Just splendid news :D:D:D

Not an entry ....just knowing she is well is the "answer to my prayers."

(among 3 other obvious reasons)

Mark that's great news I was going to check in with you to see how she was doing, I'm happy that things are going well

PS not an entry

Mark, that is great news. I will continue to keep her in my thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery and home soon.

Not an entry. I'm going to give my mom a call tonight an tell her I love her. Thanks Mark.

I am in, thanks! We are glad to hear that the procedure went well:) More prayers from Texas for a complete and speedy recovery!!
This congress is an orphan that I picked up in rough shape at a trinket shop while on vacation. Every time I carry it I remember the trip and think of my wife and daughter:thumbup:

Not an entry Mark, but I'm glad all is well! Take some well needed rest and recoup a little. There will be more up's and downs, but for now; take satisfaction that your "smoothin it" for the moment :)

Later buddy

This one always make me think of my folks. It was a gift from them when I took my current job.

Not an entry. I just wanted to say that I'm happy and thankful for you and your family.

Just about any Old Timer reminds me of my dad. This is the one he carries.

Always good to hear that a loved one pulled through.

Thanks for the chance. I'm in! That's a beautiful knife anyone should be proud to own and use.

Not an entry. I'm so glad you posted tonight with good news. Your mom was in my thoughts today, and I'm relieved to hear that she's doing well.

Glad to hear things went well for your mom, Mark. There's no one in the world quite like mom! My mom passed a few years ago from cancer, too young at 66.

I'm not in for the GAW, but you did a nice job on that one! Here's a knife I got from my grandpa when I was a kid, Kent Kamp King.

Wonderful news! I had no idea she was sick, but am very glad she's recovering. Prayers and well wishes.

I'm in.

And here is the knife that reminds me of my dad. He carried it for years and is the knife I associate with him. I kept it and bought two new Soddie Jr's. One I sent with him, and I hold the matching one. The old Soddie Jr is a treasure even though so much of the blade is worn away that the tip is proud and will bite you even when folded. You can never say "I love you" enough.

I'm in and May God bless you and family. Thank you for the chance to win that fine looking case.

Not in for the GAW, but praise be to God for her pending recovery. May she live for many yeas to come.

Captain O

So glad for the news, and will continue in prayer both for healing and in thanksgiving.

Here's a Fiddleback Forge Bushboot that rides on my hip most days. It bears a blue pinstripe, and I acquired it (by the grace of a forum member) when my son was born last year. It will always remind me of both of them.
