Prayers Have Been Answered GAW -WINNER DRAWN

I'm in, glad your mom pulled through the surgery Mark.

My dad bought me the Case Russlock in this photo years ago while on a family Christmas vacation. We always thought it brought us good luck when I carried it for some reason. I recently gave it back to him for luck, as he is battling a terminal illness and could use some good fortune. I purposely dulled the edge as he is on some fairly severe blood thinners. He carries it every day as more of a charm, and takes it out to show me when he has a good day.

I couldn't fight entering this one. I love the knife and the reason for the GAW.

My wife and I started dating on these 73s production date (Still missing one) and I brought my daughter home for the first time on the production date of the 06. I would be honored to carry the Case Mark. I'm in.

Most of the knives I have have some sort of connection to family.

Thank you Mark for a chance and sharing the wonderful news. A thumbs up can mean the whole world at times.

Edit: Im enjoying reading everyones post. It's good to see.

Congratulations on the good news.

I'm in. This knife is my most treasured. It reminds me of my daughter as she gave it to me for Father's Day a few years ago.

Not an entry but just wanted to say that I hope your mom continues to make a great recovery, Mark!

Wow that is great news. I am in.

This knife is my son's favorite so I always think of him when I carry it (the schrade 294). His favorite ninja turtle is the orange one.

Not an entry Mark. I'm so happy all our prayers were answered.

I'm in. It's so great to hear about your Mother! Those are stressful times but times that prayer is very helpful and needed. Thanks for the great opportunity at a GAW as well, that is an amazing knife.
This is my Grandpa's Buck 112. He carried it for years and dressed many deer, rabbits, pheasants, and fish with it. He really got me and my brothers into the outdoors and gave me the knife on our first weekend at deer camp. He gave my brother another prized possession (a mechanical Seiko watch) but my brother was always jealous of this knife. I used it hard as a kid and between my Grandpa and I we sharpened off about a 1/4" of the blade. I now keep it in a drawer where I will see it often to take it out and remember the great times we had together.

Mark/Brother...not an entry but you know I'm elated by the news...we did the txt high five earlier today;)

I'm fortunate to have you as a friend and you've let me into your family through numerous phone calls:thumbup:

The best to Mom, sisters and all family...Great news as Nanc and I shared earlier:thumbup:

I am pleased to hear that your mother is recovering. She will continue to be in my prayers. Family is the most important thing and in that mothers hold a dear place. Not an entry. Just wanted to let you know the prayers are not ending with this good news.

Chris

Pleased to hear about the successful surgery. May her recovery be just as successful.

I'm in for that lovely customized gem. The personal touches make it very special indeed.

The knife I have that most reminds me of family is my paternal grandfathers barlow.

here it is with my grandma, on her 100th birthday!

A few months ago, the family was trying to convince her to undergo a medical proceedure. we were telling her she had to get the scan, and do the follow up proceedure. Her response was "I'm 100 years old. I don't 'HAVE' to do anything, and I don want to get a scan, or anything else"

Apparently she was right.....

I'm in.

I am thankful that your mother is recovering. My thoughts are with you and your family for her continued, and swift, recovery.

Here is the only traditional knife that I have that really reminds me of family. It was a gift from my grandfather when I was 11. Buck 110's and SAK's remind me of my dad, but I don't have any right now.

Continued prayers for a pain free and complete recovery, Mark. Thanks for the beautiful giveaway, I'm in.

My wife surprised me with this "snakeskin" damascus hunter by David Lisch for Christmas 2011. The sheath is by John Cohea.

I just got caught up on the 'what knife you totin' thread and was saying a prayer then saw this one! Fantastic news, the happiness and relief must be the best feeling in the world. This knife reminds me very much of my father in law who passed from cancer. He made my wife the woman she is today and I thank him everyday. He also introduced me to pocket knives. Coincidently you helped spruce this one up so it was the perfect choice all around.

Not in, but it's nice of you to offer it. Best wishes for your mother's quick recovery.

Mark,
I praise God for the good news regarding your mom. You and your family will continue to be in my prayers.

I'd love to own a Markesharp modified SBJ, I'm in.

This reminds me of my Grandpa, he smoked White Owl cigars and gave me my first knife.
