Prayers Have Been Answered GAW -WINNER DRAWN

Lots of positive energy and thoughts towards your Mom, Mark.

I'm in....total amazement on how advanced heart medicine is in our country. It has been 11 years ( in one more month anyway) since my second chance in this lifetime. I broke the main blade on the middle SAK during some frustrating times in my recovery...but hey there will many other blades to use. Glad your Mom made it thru the tough part...and has a road to recovery that is full straight ahead!

But I am glad to hear the good news.

Not an entry, but glad to hear about your mum Mark

It is a beautiful knife, and congratulations on a successful surgery! I am in the midst of my fathers hip replacement (he is doing great!) And wish your family the best. This is not an entry:)

Her best tonic of all will be getting home soon!

Not an entry thanks as I think others deserve more of a shot at this than I do.

Very best wishes, Will

Congrats and continued healing for your mother. I'm unfortunately at the point where I'm seeing the affects of time on my parents. Breast cancer, diabetes, bulging discs, arthritis, sciatic nerve issues. Mom can't eat what she wants, and Dad can't ride his Harley. I'm not ready for it. That's all I'll say on that. Beautiful knife, I'd be honored to have the opportunity to hold-close the "mother's knife". Pls count me in on this one.
Best wishes,
Josh

I'm in.

It's a relief to hear your mom came through well.

This one reminds me of my dad. He was always a rebel, rode cross country on a Harley when he was 14.

I'm happy to hear your Mother is doing well. I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers.
.
My father's life long pocket knife :)
It's a Cattaraugus Jack that was given as a safety award to him when he worked at Bethlehem Steel in Lackawanna, NY.

Not an entry, but thanks for the generous GAW, Mark! That swayback gent is elegant to begin with, and your personal mods make it even more desirable.:thumbup: Good luck to all the entrants!!

Very glad to hear that your mom came through her surgery OK. Ever since her health "interrupted" EARL's visit to your house, I've been trying to remember (sometimes unsuccessfully) to pray for her and your family each day. I'll continue that practice!

I don't have any knives that were actually passed down from ancestors, although I have an Imperial toothpick that reminds me of one my grandpa used to carry. I do have several knives I picked up while visiting my daughter in Spain over the Christmas holidays a few months ago, and I really cherish those and the memories they inspire. Here's a little horn-handled Joker from Toledo that I really like:

Victorinox Excelsior Alox reminds me of my father who passed May 19, 2005. I still miss him.

Mark, there will be a prayer candle burning brightly today for your Mom at St. Edwards Church.

I'm in. Almost all my knives remind me of my late brother, from whom I inherited my love of sharp things and whose knife collection I now have. The one I appreciate the most is the Buck 110 with his initials in the bolster.

I'd like to participate in the generous giveaway in honor of your Mom's successful surgery. I haven't any photos to share, but I'd like to say that I relate to what you're going through. My Mom succumbed to congestive heart failure in 2000 but we went through the open-heart surgery ordeal with her some 15 years before (triple bypass). She'd had two major heart attacks by then. The bypass did succeed in giving her some good years.

May the Physician of our souls and bodies continue to guide the hands of those working toward your Mom's healing!

All the best,
David (Orthodox Christian deacon)
