My deepest condolences Darren and my continued prayers for you and your family. I lost my mother to cancer some years ago and I know it's hard.

darren, this past january, i lost my mother to colon cancer after a very short (10 days)stay in the hospital. it was the hardest thing i have gone through in my entire life (47 years). i still cry at times thinking about her, and when i hear something about upcoming mothers day. every holiday is a first without her, and her birthday and my parents wedding anniversary were especially tough. my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. it will be hard to deal with, and i wish you well.. steve

It does hurt but it does get better over time. I lost both of my parents within a week of each other about 13 years ago. I still miss them, but the first months were the worst.
