Had some baked mac and cheese last night with a rotisserie chicken and it was delicious!

I wouldnt make it on my own, unless i ate fish and wild veggies everyday...... thank god my wife can cook.

Well now I'm hungry.....

Found my cat this morning when I got home from work. After searching my house and tearing it apart who knows how many times and driving around looking like an idiot with a pair of binoculars, he was actually still in the house. Seems he musta been pretty freaked out and somehow got under the deep freeze we have in out spare bedroom. He musta been stuck under there for a while and finally managed to get out last night sometime. When I got home I went back into that room and there was a tiny bit of food missing from what I had left out just in case he was still in the house. I started searching again and looked between the wall and the freezer and there he was squeezed in between them. I had looked there before and the space was so tight that I never thought he could be under the freezer so I never looked. Anyways, we are glad to have him back and he was happy to gorge on food and water.

After seeing the white gravy picture I need to ask what everyone seasons their gravy for biscuits and gravy with. I haven't quite found what I like yet and figured someone here would have some suggestions.

Glad to hear you found the pussy cat Wildcat! Having delt with my wife's mongrel cat for the last few years I was confident you would find it. I'm sure you and yours are releaved. Good for you!

On a side not. My supper tonight was BW3's. Got to have some wings and a couple of cold beers. Also got to catch up on some football games. Being busy in the knife shop is great, but my only complaint is I'm working on sundays and missin out on this football season. That sucks:grumpy:

Congrats on the cat find, my cat picks the weirdest places to disappear too, mine was "missing" for almost a week once, found her behind our washing machine lol.

Thanks guys. I thought I knew all the cats hiding spots, but I guess there's another to add to the list. I wonder where else the lil jerks can fit that we don't know about yet.

I like starting my gravy with bacon grease and whole wheat flour - then seasoning it with a little garlic powder and coarse ground black pepper -- maybe a touch of sriracha.

good news on the cat.

Todd - I think BW3 goes a better job of wings than hooters (love the jamaican sauce!) but Hooters has better scenery.

New place in town supposedly has better scenery than Hooters.
I'm not a fan of Hooters, I always feel dirty in there.

For my white gravy, I make a pound of hot sausage, and then pull the meat out, use that fat mixed with flour as a roux add in cream and a TON of black pepper, then the sausage back in it.

You know I have to disagree. I think the wings are better at hooters. There hot sauce is just right and the wings are meatier. The problem is here that Hooters is 40 miles away but the nearest B dubz is 2 miles. Kinda trumps food quality. Scenery sucks to. My waitress tonight had a broken foot and looked like quassy moto sister. The beers I drank didn't help her cause I'll say that much. Good thing I brought my own to look at. The wifey was looking pretty good after lookin at all those goons!

Sounds like I'm doing the gravy right. I've just been doing really small batches tho, so I'm not getting a ton of flavor from the sausage and maybe I'm using too much flour for how much gravy I want. I'll have to try again soon.

Making tatertot hotdish here tonight..........its food anyways.

If you are using too much flour (which is quite possible) you can add butter to the sausage/bacon fat...

Ok, I just gave myself a wicked idea... Mixed bacon and sausage fat for the base of the roux.

I was going to order Pizza Hut for supper, just cause I don't feel like leaving the house. HOWEVER, they won't deliver to me! They won't deliver down town on Sunday nights. WTF?!?

I don't know what I'm going to do now.

New riflescope should be here tomorrow!! Ordered a Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40 to put on my 30-06, so I can quit swapping my Burris between it and my ar15. Got a decent deal on it from a Black Friday sale. Now I just need to bed the 30-06 into its new stock, order a new trigger, new scope mount, set the headspace, and get it all put together. Kinda a facelift for the old dog. My brother and I bought it when I was 13 or 14 and I'm 31 now, so it was starting to get rough looking. I had the barrel re-crowned last year and he had to shorten it 1.5", so I'll be shooting a 20.5" barreled 30-06. I'll be needing to make sure I wear earlplugs for sure.

Found this little pipe today at an antique store made out of antler. Thought it was cool, as well as reasonably priced. Really liking it, although I haven't smoked it yet. Just got home with it.

Sounds like it will be a sweet setup, A/C, but 20" is too short for all the powder in an '06. I think you might want to step up to 200+gr bullets. You're gonna lose velocity anyway, might as well trade some wasted powder space for bullet mass. Better ballistic coeff on thed longer slug anyway.

Re: sriracha in gravy... sounds like a great idea, but then I've been known to put it in salad.
