Just received this in the mail, And pictures cant do it justice. it feels amazing in my hands and looks so beautiful. Custom shop Ratmandu with very shinny satin blade and green and black g10 scales. the green looks OD green. Its too gorgeous to use. i cant find a single fault in this knife. Its the best looking rmd i have seen...... and its all mine :)

This is a kind of a rare combo, its hard to find the green/black g10 with the satin blade especially in perfect unused condition, hell i cant find another picture of one like it used or not.

Sweet looking blade brother.

That RMD looks nice! Fortunately for my wallet, I haven't been bitten by that bug.

No its sr101 i believe, still a great steel

Thanks guys, i dont think ill use this one though its too purdy :)

I will atleast have to get tired of looking at it first, which might not happen

I have to admit that I've never liked the looks of the RMD, but that one is just plain sexy. I'm really looking hard at the rodent solution.......wonder if they were ever made with a satin finish.

My Cami Becker Necker showed up today... Screw your RMD!

Too pretty to use is actually true with that knife... :(

Honestly when i first saw the RMD CG tanker grey version i thought it looked great but now i dont think it looks anywhere near as good compared to this one :) And i also want a rodent solution pretty bad but that wont be until march of next year or so, gotta get the funds right for an M-18! The rodent solution looks like a great edc type blade.

I got this from the exchange for 185, the guy spent quite a bit more than that when he bought it and he could of sold it for more than he spent. I jumped on it. i checked fleabay and the more common ones are going for around 225 for non custom shops. I was very lucky with this deal

Screw your RMD!

Well i started to, but the results aint pretty :)

Nice Ratmandu at a good price. I have one from the first run. Black canvas micarta and black coating.

Its too gorgeous to use.

No, it's not. And I'm really just posting this pic to give Derek a boner.

The one bad part about my job. I am pretty much on call 24/7/365.25.

I am currently sitting in the waiting room at the hospital. Patient came in presenting with some serious issues so I am here for the next 4 hours. Gonna be back here in a day or two working 10 hour shifts. Probably on Thursday and/or Friday.

Nice part, I'm gonna be pulling overnight shift so it is going to be 10 hour shifts at time and a half pay, plus an extra hundo a shift for travel pay.

Nah, never too pretty. Take it out and beat the living hell out of that thing! :D

Nice looking knife WW. You lucky bastid.

I just cant, its already put on a trophy shelf along with the engraved bk2 ethan sent me.

Man im curious just how many knives and collections of knives you really have. Ill assume your real last name is Gates....

Honestly im not so crazy about Busse knives. I would choose a busse-kin quickly over a Busse Busse due to price. the scrapyards and rats are not cheap but they are not 500+ either and look logical to actually use them. I mean the ones you got there look cool but loads of people have them and yet the price is set like they are custom one of a kind blades, but it seems they are more production run type knives. if they cost 300 or under id change my opinion but even then id expect a serial number on them. jmo-

I'll say this. The recent contest involving "post a picture of all your knives" was not worth the effort it would have taken. Sad but true. :p

All valid points. I've sold most of the Busses I owned. Still have a few more in the sell pile, so soon... even less.
That said, I like the two in the picture and still have 'em. They're both big bruisers, but good choppers and splitters.
Honestly, the best value over at Busse IMO is the Swamp Rat line, and I rate it above SY mainly because I'm a micarta freak.
No disrespect to Ethan; the BK-7 is a great knife. But my favorite, "do-it-all" 7" blade is still the original SR Ratweiler.
It would be the last of the Busse family to go, even after the INFI was long gone.

I really like that ratweiler! I just got into this hobby but maybe ill have a collection worth bragging about in a year or 2... OR 12

Damn im getting too close to 1000 posts. Gunna have to figure out what ill offer up as a contest prize... but money is tight and now all funds after xmas are going towards an m-18, which is a custom blade i feel is worth the price! So might have to put one of my own beckers on the line! only problem is most beckerheads have all the ones i got and i only have 1 of each of them, besides the bk2 i have 2 and everyone has one of them damn near.... hmmm???

giveaway doesn't have to be a knife.
you could build up an ammo pouch PSK with 3 or 4 altoid tins: FAK, fishing kit, fire kit, snare kit, or sharpening kit.

Good ideas, I have a few books on wilderness survival and wild food foraging and i have read them 100 times, they are still in great shape so maybe i could put them with a few small ferro rods, some snare wire, and some paracord as a beginning guide to thriving in the wild......

Does that sound decent?

sounds good to me - but then identifying edible vegetation is a particularly weak spot for me.

Got this radio for free. Works great I just need a power supply and antenna. And by free I meant it came with my dads new rig and he put his own radio in so I got this one.
