I'd recommend something like OC spray if he really is attacking you without being provoked. If Police show up and you two are throwing blows they will arrest both of you and it will be his word against yours if there are no witnesses to back up that you were defending yourself (my friend got charges against them in a situation like this), if they show up and you are sitting there waiting for them with your can of OC spray in your hand and you calmly explain what happened they might be more inclined to believe you were not the initial aggressor.

And to be clear, I am NOT suggesting you just go around pepper spraying people because you don't like them or they called you a name, it should only be used as a last resort in a self defense situation. OC spray hurts like a b*** and is still a weapon.
 
hippies aren't typically violent :)

tell him privately, if he "comes at you again", you will get him locked up for a couple months in a pysch unit, and good luck ever getting a good job, or college ;) "it's really easy, i just download some forms, and call the police, and they COME GET YOU. it's not jail, just a padded room, you'll be out by Spring" :D "and now, i'm going to do your sister, just like you do"

I have one along with a bunch of other systems. I tend to use the work sharp quite a bit on my bigger knives, but not smaller folders. I use it freehand without the guard on it and can take a knife from dull to shaving sharp in around a minute. It does take some practice and you need to be careful with the tip, but I'd definitely recommend it. They have great customer service too. I had a bearing problem and they send me out a new unit right away.

Yeah I was going to get it for my fixed blades (my smaller knives I can do on my Lansky pretty quickly) all I've heard has been positive about their products but I figured I'd beat the dead horse a little more and get some Beckerhead input. Thanks Wildcat
 
The worksahrp is great. I have the WS2000 for chisels with the knife sharpening attachment. Its good for longer blades I've even set bevels on a few axes when I didnt feel like filing through rust and pits.

Hey DJG. Hears my advice. Wait till he turns 18 and beat the holy sh!t out of him next time he touches you. In the meantime, move out of you folks house, get your own place. Then the only assholes that will come into your house are the ones you let in. Just a thought. Might not be the most mature and maybe not good legal advice, but eye for a eye for me.

i have some variety of the worksharp. i used it on HI khukris, and other bad ass chopping tools. lawn mower blades. even an axe. saves a LOT of time.

for finer blades, i highly recommend the one that everyone copies ;) the apex edge pro. bought one with my own money. no gifts, freebies, or pimping required. it's GOOD. esp on fiddly things like kitchen knives (very thin). you can precisely set bevels to exact angles that even i can't screw up.

Sucks that you've been putting up with this for so long...I'd usually try and defuse the situation without being too passive and if he doesent calm down then you can knock them on their ass. IMO once people know that you can fight back they generally leave you alone.
