The pre-order is now open for the ZT 0562CF at BladeHQ, so get on over there and put in your 5 bucks if you want this knife!! This will be the first time I've pre-ordered a ZT knife, and I've heard the horror stories of some of the other models, so, I hope this one isn't like that! I for one am kind of excited!!!
And no, I am NOT affiliated with them at all. I just got the email this morning and thought I'd pass along the good news!

I put in my pre order over two months ago at HQ for the M390. Then they closed it in Feb. Odd.

This for me too. Wonder what the deal was there.

Does anyone have predictions about release dates based on experience/reliable info?

Very excited for this one. I feel like its going to be everything I wanted to 0561 to be.

They probably increased their order volume and were thus able to open more pre-order slots.

I have a useless hope that this means production is underway and they have more than they estimated they would.

The first part is exactly right. However after talking with bladehq the second half is not the case. The stated the still have not received word as to when they will receive knifes from KAI

Same as it ever was, same as it ever was . . .

Like I said, it will be here "soon". :D

But.. this will be a production model, right? So, they won't be hard to get ahold of when they are out?

Those are two words that just don't mesh well together, Kershaw and soon.

Yep. But Kershaw's not alone in that. "Soon" is easily the most abused adverb in the knife manufacturing industry. As I stated in another thread, I've seen "soon" mean "days", "weeks", "months" or "years". I've even seen it mean "never"!

I don't think they are ment in a spiteful manor. But we as a people get inpatient and humor keeps things lite hearted. And it keeps us all talking about somthing we can't wait for

As to delivery times, it's all good here. I'm unsure why the jokes.
No jokes. Just truth. And I'm not pointing a finger at you. When it comes to using the word "soon", KAI is a lightweight compared to some other companies I've dealt with. Those of us who have been around for awhile have simply learned to ignore it. But if you're confused about what "soon" really means and you happen to be married, tell your wife you're going to do something for her "soon" and then don't do it. You'll find out what it means in short order. ;)
