You're absolutely right. When it comes to "soon", everyone else is a rank amateur compared to Jerry Busse's "two weeks". In fact, "two weeks" has become a laughing stock among Busse customers (affectionately referred to as the HOGS). Nobody trusts Jerry's word regarding when products are going to be delivered nor should they. The question is, is his the kind of example other manufacturers want to emulate? Or would they rather convey that they have enough respect for their customers not to lead them astray with wildly understated delivery timeframes? And is it fair for a manufacturer to say something is coming "soon" when they darn well know it isn't? If a manufacturer wouldn't say "soon" to his wife or his kids, why would he say it to his customers?

The 0562 looks like a pretty exciting product, I'll try not to get excited waiting for it. I really like my 0561. Anytime I think 0562 I'll pull out my 0561 and look at it.
 
Just pre-ordered the CF version. Now I am getting so drunk I'm gonna forget that I ordered it :D
 
Yes, I know this thread is old, but has anyone received one from BHQ yet? Or is there any word on when they may become available? A few have trickled out here and there, but I'm not sure from whom. It's been 6 months since I pre-ordered, and probably much longer for others..
 
They are out, and some are on the exchange for sale already. I'd say start looking there, you'll find one soon enough.
 
KAI has just been on fire the past couple of years. Seriously, the fact that they can't keep up with demand really says something about their product.
 
Depending on how bad you want one they've been in stock on the Kai/ZT site for quite awhile...at full retail.

I'm not sure you understood my question. I'm not trying to locate one, used or not. I just want what I've pre-ordered (as does everyone else), and curious when they were gonna be available. Have they shipped any at all? Or are the ones that have made it out been only from other retailers
 
Lonny, I just got shipping notice on my BHQ 0562CF, preordered on 1/20/14.
I have not read this intire thread, but I e mailed them last month asking about status of my preorder, and was told that ZT was only shipping something like 25 units at a time. They were filling preorders by the date they were recieved.
Look back and see when you made your order, and you should get a little better picture of where you are at in line.

That's all just ridisculous I went to my local knife shop and just walked out with the zt562cf. I also have toe g10 model but imo the 562 is by far my favorite production knife I've ever handled. Just hope u guys don't get the first 100 562s. I got number 0075 and it had lots of problems. Already a sent it in to zt. My g10 version is perfect
 
Hopefully the second run will have less issues than the first, not that the first seemed all that bad. Perhaps that's why it took this long to get a second batch out, and no doubt they are busy with other projects. We see first run issues a lot these days from a lot of companies across many industries, the first bath of products is basically beta testing paid for by the impatient consumer. These days it's very rare I'll buy anything the first 6 months it hits the market.
 
Got my shipping notification today. Wow has this been a long journey. Hope it was worth it.
