Prepare for the Zombie Apocalypse!!!

I hear you, but a gun fight is like a knife fight. The loser dies at the scene and the winner will probably die on the way to hospital. In a survival situation with no facilities any injury can prove fatal. In an ambush though almost any weapon will do.
That being said, in a zombie situation since humans are potentially more dangerous I'd try my best to not start fights. I guess my main priority would be survival rather than fighting; which is why I wouldn't want a shmancy sword etc. Hunting rifle would probably be best type of gun in general. (for hunting edible game of course, avoid attracting attention of zombies whenever possible)

If you shoot somebody with a .45 pistol or shotgun slug/buckshot or 308 rifle they are going to die almost instantly. Choosing a 22 in a self defense scenario is ridculous. It's a pee shooter. If the bullets does go through whatever thick jacket or armor your wearing which is slim the damage they do is next to none. only way i'd want a 22 is shooting someone in the head at point blank range and let the bullet bounce around in their brain. But shooting soft zombie rot skull maybe it would penetrate easily.:) But 22 is the only round i have FTF's and FTE's on a regular basis no matter what 22 gun i use pistol or rifle and is another reason wouldn't be my first choice but might come in handy and ruger SR22 is lightweight and other polymer pistols would be light enough to where you could take it along with other caliber pistols. So would probably take one but would be used not very often only if i felt safe somewhere, could take my time, not in immediate danger and plink on some zombi brains taking them out slowly. One by one. Humans would not use it on. At all.

Use zombies to collect the shopping carts at Wal-Mart, put them to work as help desk people, they couldn't be any worse. ;)

I'm selling these customs for just $600,00 a piece, it's the basic model that will serve you well. Later this year I'm coming out with a solar powered version so there's no risk of that battery running out in the heat of battle. Pre-orders start next week.

Illinois North suburbs, border of Wisconsin. I find 550rd boxes all day for around $20...
North Central Wisconsin, when you happen upon a brick it's way north of that. Last deal I saw was $50 for Thunderbolt. Hoping it comes down/more available soon...I miss shooting my Anschutz, dammit.

So I should probably pick a 9mm, okay. My main concern with a gun is running out of ammo, cause it will happen often. Wasting ammo on human is the last thing I would want. To them I say "we got f******* bigger problems man!" But people are crazy anyways..
