Price check Buck Titanium?

...and here's a funny from Buck's own site... :D

Model 110 Folding Hunter®

Price: $ 59.00

This item is out of stock

... ...

I realize that I quoted Wal mart but even the expensive sport shops don't sell them for $50.00 (gander, scheels)...

I just posted a "funny story" about Gander Mountain a week or so ago... :D

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=445018

"The clampack 119's were $34.95...The clampack 105's were $49.95...The clampack 110's were $46.95"

That was a store in Tonawanda NY that I'd never been in...big sign "Cutlery"...lots of display cases full of knives...and helpful salesmen... :p

...Also an 8% sales tax thanks to Pataki... :grumpy:

My local Ace Hardware has Buck's MSRP also...or at least it was Buck's MSRP back when they set up the display...no idea how long ago that was, but the model 119 has a $57.99 price tag on it...

Edit: Buck's site has 119 Special® $ 73.00, so my Ace is way behind the times... :D

...Buy it now for 48.00 and 50.00...That is my price range for a MIB 560, I won't pay 75 or 85 for a slightly used one

That sounds better every time I think about it...I'm going to add you to my eBay "Favorite Bidder" list, so when you bid on a Buck 560 I'll get notified... ;)

I was going to make a tutorial on the Favorite Bidder option in eBay...but now that they list bidders as "bidder 1", "bidder 2", etc, I wonder if that will still work???

That is O.K. follow my bidder list :D
I snipe alot, and I mix up Items I bid on alot to keep the hounds at bay :D

I browsed a "See My Other Items" list last week, and found that the guy was selling a Keuffel & Esser Log Log Duplex Decitrig slide rule w/case!!!

I wanted one of these so bad when I first attended college...had to settle for a cheap Japanese import...students gots no $$$... :D

...But I got one now!!! Proudly displayed in my trophy case!!! ;)

Now, if I can only find an instruction book... :p

whatcha talking 'bout Trax?
Thinkin' ya quoted the wrong post.

I guess one man's gold is another man's baby poop yellow! Personally it looks like gold to me. As for the price, the newer "gold" 560's seem to fluctuate in price on ebay anywhere from $60 - $75 depending on what day you look. I have two...one with the BG-42 blade ugrade and one plain! :D Here's a photo of all available 560 versions (I think) plus the 186.

Nice photo! Looks like you got them all. The blue lightning holes are smoking. It is blue paint, ink, anodizing, or what?
You got me. Looking closely at the knife, I'd have to say paint, but Joe Houser would have to say for sure.

OK, thinking if I put my knives on sticks like TLC that the pics would be better (like his).
Doesn't work. So I guess it's not the sticks.
Here is a pic of the same 560 posted earlier. For color comparison, it is shown with a 110 BuckCote (gold finish) and a 110NS.

If I remember right, that blue color is anodizing. The blade is either 24kt gold plated or ion fusion gold. I know we did a handful, or maybe less, gold plated 110 size blades.

Joe,
If I remember correctly, you said that the gold plate was used in a blind test to determine the market reaction to the ion fusion gold.

I need to take a pic with a tripod, better lighting, and new papparatzi dude...

I also. Even my scanner doesn't catch the colors or finish correctly... :grumpy:

The gray 560 above is actually a brushed finish; semi-shiny...the crystal 560 has a mottled/speckled finish...My infamous Bell+Howell [Chinese knockoff] is atrocius; I deleted those images...
